A single figure stands petrified in the portal before you, its stony form dwarfing the nearby landscape of similar mineral makeup that seems to have birthed it into this world. Indeed, all that you see amidst this plane is barren stone and ashen sky, as though all other life had been consumed by the gigantic humanoid sculpture that dominates this vision. It would be easy to describe the land before you as lifeless, and yet from the cracked hide of the behemoth glows a faint reddish hue reminiscent of a rising dawn. There is an energy that suffuses the giant, a spark of divinity granted by an unknown hand. Wordlessly through the portal, it calls out to you, and thus by divinity you find yourself drawn between the planes once again. 

HIBOO makes his VISION SERPENT debut with THE GOLEM IS COMING, a single that draws on its namesake’s stature with a series of unrelenting basslines that meld with and are infused by an animating overdriven arpeggio. As the vocal sample within instructs an introspective course, THE GOLEM IS COMING combines these elements to entrance listeners in awe of its gargantuan presence.

Shimmering into existence before lies a portal to a fungal forest you have visited once before, marked by massive mycological growths that spread their spores skyward amidst the alien atmosphere. Yet there upon the other side of the portal stands none other than yourself, embarked upon your first journey into another alien world. Your mind writhes with confusion and, sensing this, the telepathic tongue of the VISION SERPENT laps at the inside of your skull.

“There exists a possible error in transdimensional travel,” states the serpent’s sibilant voice, “Even a being so great as I cannot stop certain universal threads from inexorably intertwining. The being you see now before you are born of CLONAL TRANSPLANTATION, a reverberation of yourself given life amidst the resonant strings of space-time. It shall follow your every footstep as a shadow, a phantom, a memory, until such time as its echo decays to meet your own. It is imperative now that you not fall behind, dear mortal, or you shall be lost amidst the crossing of twin time streams in terror.”

DAVID PHOENIX returns to his VISION SERPENT imprint with CLONAL TRANSPLANTATION, a single featuring an additional remix by Joseph Disco. Driven by a singularly monolithic bassline, CLONAL TRANSPLANTATION’s original mix is narrated by a cinematic vocal sample that leads listeners along a mind-bending exploration of dancefloor consciousness. The remix by Joseph Disco darkens the track’s atmosphere, its sonic character set to slide easily into darkened dancefloors and set them abuzz with the steady roar of its low-end melody.

label with two fully on-brand slices of powerful, driving techno goodness. Makkuro
Kurosuke is the first cut, setting the tone for firing synths, diamond-hard beats and

Aitor Ronda’s concrete roots can be traced back to 90’s techno. His personal commitment to the mutant and clubbing techno has been in force since 1996, when he began to play his first vinyl records. It was a few years later, in 2001, after releasing his first vinyl record along with Mark Williams, Ben Sims or Paul Mac … when Aitor decided to create his own Drakos (where he signed “Trilogy” alongside DJ Rush) and Upfront imprints too. Since then the Barcelona-based DJ/Producer has built a real solid music career -accumulates 20 years of experience- that culminates now with its new brand / project: WHACK. Important to remember at this point Aitor Ronda's mastery and skills both in the recording studio – in the middle of nowhere and where he spends hours and hours- and the DJ booth. Accurate techniques acquired throughout all these years playing his sounds at massive festivals and venues as Sónar, Monegros, Privilege, Space-Ibiza, Florida 135, Egg London and many more. In the same way as critically acclaimed published on record labels such as Terminal M (Monika Kruse’s label), Filth on Acid (Reinier Zonneveld´s label), Octopus (Sian’s label), or the mighty Tronic (Christian Smith´s label) without forgetting Pig&Dan’s own Elevate imprint, where he has been piling up a quite good bundle of absolute bangers and fantastic EPs. Including “Tweezer”, this track became TOP 1 of world techno best sellers in 2018. All this has consequences: a constant presence in all the techno / clubbing charts around the world, including essential platforms like Beatport. And getting massive support from the king Carl Cox, playing his productions around the planet. Quite an ‘orchestra director’ of the 21st Century. All this hectic life has led him to a constant evolution as a producer, DJ, label manager… and of course increased his passion for what he loves most. A true leader of a barrier-free techno sound, with a respectful but winning philosophy always.
