Be Good 2 Me is a muscular, bass guitar-powered take on what happens when disco goes rock 'n' roll. LUXXURY explains: "‘Be Good 2 Me' was inspired by that 1979 moment where rock bands like Kiss, The Rolling Stones and Rod Stewart all made their token 'disco song.’ I was also inspired by  the melodic punk basslines of The Clash’s ‘The Magnificent Seven’ and Hot Chocolate’s ‘Every 1’s A Winner”, with its funk stomp and heroic electric guitar line. I love the intersection of disco, funk, rock and pop, all with a dash of post-punk ‘we can barely play our instruments’ attitude. But rather than Autotuning and Pro Tooling everything to perfection I like to leave a lot of rough edges intact, but with modern production to give it and updated dancefloor thump." Alright, the story to THIS track is quite different from my works around the Terranigma OST (check out my YouTube channel for these). Unfortunately, I never played Actraiser as a child, although I had heard about the title some times in the past. When I finally set up my SNES again two or three months ago just for fun and to experience some nostalgia, I somehow felt the urge to buy some games of my childhood again. When I was a teenager, I sold most of them so I now had to buy everything again.
I also decided to check eBay & co. for games that I knew as I child, but never managed to buy or play back then. Actraiser was one of them.
And - oh my - that one got me hooked. I especially fell in love with the game's beautiful soundtrack and when I played the first stage - Fillmore - I knew I had to cover this very soon. So: here's the result! That one was a lot of work but it was so much fun to make it work for a full orchestra.
