Dear friends,
there are refugees everywhere around the world. It is terribly horrible to have to flee from one's homeland. It is extremely painful to see the little children suffer during the flight. Old and disabled people are also forced to flee - it's terrible!

Thoughts of a Refugee

When the morning dawns again and the fog lifts
then we sail to a distant land
where we heard that there are kind people
We have had it so hard — all the time
where we come from - and we hope they say
welcome here to us this day

It is not easy for us to get to a place
where the habits are very strange
and they speak so strangely when they address us
how will it go — when our time comes
to get to know these people - but we hope they say
welcome here to us this day

This journey has been very difficult - many have fallen ill
but now we have come to a beautiful country
but not everyone likes us
but so it is when you flee — from the lands of evil
but we don't bring anything - that can harm these people
who welcomes us on this lovely day

då seglar vi till ett fjärran land
där vi hört att det finns snälla människor
Vi har haft det så svårt  — i alla tider
där vi kommer ifrån - och vi hoppas att de säger

Det är inte lätt för oss att komma till en plats
där vanorna är mycket märkliga
och de talar så konstigt när de vänder sig till oss
hur kommer det att gå — när det blir dags för oss

Denna resa har varit väldigt svår - många har blivit sjuka
men nu har vi kommit till ett vackert land
men det är inte alla som gillar oss
men så är det när man flyr — från ondskans länder
men vi tar inget med - som kan skada dessa människor
som tar emot oss denna ljuvliga dag
