Seon Ga (Cantonese for homing pigeon) is a Guangzhou-Beijing-based duo comprised of producers Yu Hein and thruoutin. The two began collaborating on the project after meeting in 2021 in Guangzhou. Despite coming from different backgrounds and musical tastes, they are both heavily influenced by ambient and drone music. They decided to work on a single piece of music that evolved into eight distinct tracks. Their name references the creative process in which they produced the material. Not living in the same city, they kept in contact via WeChat, sharing ideas from afar, much how carrier pigeons were used to send messages between infantry forces during WW1.
