Dinama EP is the name of Unique Community's sixth release, feauturing the prolific producer Seph and deluxe remixes by Sasha Carassi, Knobs and Mekas. 

The original track is a piece of high end dub techno, it reflects the analogue and modern sound that characterizes Seph's productions and is a highlight from his latest live performances. Through dark passages and a melody that alines all senses, the cut takes the listener through an introspective trip where the artist and the dancefloor connect perfectly. 

Each remixer reinterprets the sounds of Dinama into different directions. While Sasha Carassi pushes the sounds into an explosive techno track, Knobs recreates it with a more deep and sensual vibe. Mekas, Seph's colleague and musical ally at Aula Magna Records, invents a fresh and potent groove, reconfiguring the parts into a sound that is more distorted but transparent.

The Aula Magna Records team is proud to present Cinética, Seph's new album and the label's first CD release. This is a project that takes his characteristic IDM-driven techno sound to the next step: just as it explicitly reveals Seph's intimate relationship with a fresh noise-textured sound palette it also makes evident that the artist's rhythmic engagement has pushed him to more complex beat programming than on his previous music. Seph shares some thoughts about the record: 

“This is an album that represents my view on the sound that is constantly evolving within the Aula Magna crew of friends and artists. The other founders of the label are present on the record: Qik, Mekas and Pablo Denegri each co-produced a track and they are a crucial part of the project. The artwork photographs were done by Rodrigo Bermudez and were later put into design context by Santiago Merino.

Now that it's nearly out and I have good perspective on the whole production process, I can see a few things about it. Noise and glitch sounds took an important role in the album. It's built upon recordings I did of urban soundscapes and household machines. These noises and the sounds I created from various synths were manipulated and modulated with no real direction, and it was the unexpected result from live experimentation that finally won it's way onto a sequenced piece. A lot of the times there was no turning back as the material was recorded and in no way repeatable or reconstructable due to it's aleatoric nature. Percussion-wise, nearly all tracks have break-beat rhythmic cores instead of a typical kick-drum 4/4 format. This, again, wasn't intentional, they are the outcome of sequencing experiments. 

I've also realized that it was crafted unconsciously by ideas on movement, the static and the non-static, and how these states relate and transform on a sonorous canvas. And if my previous album Alquimia was an organic, “mysterious” and melodic record, this one is more focused on rhythm, noise – machinery? - and these invisible concepts on movement, even though there was no mandate, no limits around it. That is why I finally ended up naming it Cinética (Kinetics), which is the study of motion, energy and speed.”

The Aula Magna team presents the label's tenth release, Rom by Seph, featuring Cosmin TRG as remixer. A modern and energetic EP that showcases the artist’s unique techno sound: deep, robust & daring.

Lead track Rom kicks off the record in breakbeat manner, an epic cut that twists its sounds progressively through distorted percussive and melodic riffs. This is followed by Cosmin TRG's tribal take on the title track, a mind-dazzling and hypnotic reinterpretation.

Two techno highlights from Seph's latest live sets thrust the B side even further into the dance floor. Inner warps its solid rhythmic core through swirling dub noise mayhem and P+1 ends the record with a steady synth chord that evolves throughout the track on top of a powerful, stripped down beat.

Klectik014 marks Argentinean producer Pablo Denegri’s debut for the Chicago-based 
label.  In recent years, Pablo has emerged as one of Buenos Aires’s most dynamic producers and performers in the techno world.  Pablo’s work has been featured on highly regarded labels such as Dumb-Unit and Unfoundsound, and his live set has been featured at many clubs across Europe and South America.  We here at Klectik are thrilled to deliver Pablo’s first solo vinyl EP to the world!  Pablo Denegri’s production bag is one that features a unique blend of minimal techno, ambient, electro, leftfield, downtempo, and experimentalism.  The Fall E.P. sees Pablo dipping into this bag and pulling out a fine slab of classic, timeless techno!

Mutante (Feat Seph) – Crafted from materials that were exclusive to Pablo’s live set for some time, the first track on the B-side sees Pablo teaming up with frequent collaborator Seph, who happens to be a big favorite of the Klectik family!  Like every time these guys have worked together the result here is pure magic!  The boys serve up a deep hypnotic groover equipped with the works—a nasty bass line, other worldly synths and rhythms, and spooky ambient pads!

Seph comes to Cityfox with his hands full of bass energy in the form of the Suzbu EP. Three tracks which will blow away your speaker. 

’Genbu’ doesn’t play around, a highlight from Seph's live shows over the past years, it goes straight to the point with the deep bass and kick. With whirring, like a machine powering up after a long hibernation. Vocal lines make you mad as the melody repeats. ’High energy’ is a great way to begin explaining this track. 

’Suzaku’, also a recent highlight from his live shows, picks it right up where ’Genbu’ left off, with vocal cuts, rubber basses and wide synth melodies. Thick and sharp, Techno at one of it’s finest moments. 

Last but not least we come to ’Unti’. A creepy world of machines and percussion leading you through the night, making your way to groovy basslines and cool melody.

From year to year Genesa has been gaining more and more support, followers and attention. We never did some big time promo or spam like most of the labels do today, but somehow we managed to climb & become one of the top underground labels at the moment.
 
In 2010, there was a project called "The DNA-Exchange Project". The man behind this idea was Nikola (Scalameriya), the label owner of Genesa. 
 
The basic idea behind the “DNA-Exchange” is experimenting and communicating directly with a number of artists without necessarily knowing them personally.
 
The procedure and rules are:
 
"In the “sample-building period”, which was  around 30 days, all participants were creating wav samples/ loops. The important thing is that they needed to create those sample on their own, without using previously released wav material or presets. Sound design is what we were after here. The artists needed to create 10 samples, not less, not more. They were free to create whatever they wanted… strings, pads, leads, bass, glitches, drumloops, glitchloops, vox, fx etc.
 
After all the participants have finished the sound design part, Genesa put all the samples (for example 15 participants x 10 samples = 150! Samples) in one big sample pool, and return it to all participants.
 
In the second phase of this project, the participants needed to create a track from this big sample pool! The rule was to use ONLY the samples from this package. Outside of this pack, they were allowed to use only kickdrums, hihats, snares…basically any drums they wanted cause we believe that this is not defining the track, but giving it a personal touch. "
 
in 2010 there were 9 participants so we had 9 brilliant tracks. For this year we decided to make the project even bigger: RESURGENCE with17!!! participants that made outstanding tunes which will be released in a VA-compilation on Genesa Records on 6th of February exclusive on Beatport.com
 
The artists involved were: Seph, Ducerey Ada Nexino, Scalameriya, Dubit, Mike Wall, Hollow Mind,  Reagen, Hanchi, Splatter, Cigarette smoking man, Shotten Synapse, Dr. Nojoke, Coeter One, Oblivion, Insect Elektrika, Julio Portillo.

Buenos Aires born producer Sebastian Galante aka Seph has been kicking up a storm in the Techno world since the turn of the millennium releasing material on labels such as Dumb Unit, Harry Klein, Items & Things, his own Aula Magna imprint and now he joins the Echocord roster on sub-label Echocord Colour following recent releases from Luke Hess and Stephen Brown.

Across the ‘Teleport’ EP Seph delivers his signature smooth, dubbed out and intricate style and the title-track takes the lead with billowing pads, bumpy off- kilter rhythms and choppy stab sequences galore before ‘Delta’ strips back the vibe to raw drums and murky synth textures while ethereal pads ebb and flow through the composition. ‘Motion’ rounds out the package on the flip side, taking a straighter approach rhythmically this time around to allow the snaking dub stabs, rumbling low-end tones and evolving hats to take the lead throughout.

It was always an experiment for us. Stripping down to expose subtle truths. And sometimes when in such an intense, tedious experiment, one needs to take a step back to see where these fundamental structures can change with time. Clarity has returned, and we are ready to pick up toying with the hypothesis. With that we would like to announce the first ep in 4 years, Aces by Seph.

Being our first release back, we felt it only right to provide a dub-ori- ented survey of what we see today in the modern electronic music landscape through the lens of our original and enduring aesthetic principle. Years have passed and dance floors have changed with different musical styles, yet we still find that one recurring theme throughout: there are stripped down soundscapes lying latent in everything. Premiere: Seph "Ulizen" - Danza Nativa

Items and Things return with Maread, the labelʼs twenty-third release and a label debut for Argentinean producer Seph. Hailing from Buenos Aires and having previously released on labels that include Dumb-Unit, Cityfox and igloo, Seph (real name Sebastian Galante) provides three exceptionally strong examples of melodically driven house and techno that jump from pole to pole along both the stylistic and tempo divides.

With its distorted vocal line, bouncing bassline, and sharp hi-hat patterns that resonate throughout, EP title track Maread acts as a slice of uplifting main room rhythm that slowly builds with its lyrical tale of sensual deprivation and emotional chaos. As the deep, luscious pads cut through the mix the EP reveals its ʻshutter momentsʼ to the enchanting, sensually impairing male echoes of someone who “canʼt see”... “canʼt touch.” Tempos rise on The Mage, and while rhythmic intensity may increase, the melodic beauty of the track synthetic bells compliment a dark underlying groove-led techno composition, the trackʼs musical dichotomies providing a welcome sense of magical dancefloor confusion.

Maread rounds itself off with Streets, a slow grooving slice of infectious electronic funk. The trackʼs driving bass and FM chimes hit at the root, the early morning haze of the EP closer completing a memorable package of poignantly atmospheric cuts.

Hailing from Buenos Aires, Sebastian Galante a.k.a. Seph is one of Argentina’s main electronic music artists. With nearly 10 years of activity in the techno scene, he has established himself as a multi-faceted artist, dividing his time between roles such as an energetic, prolific producer, heavily requested remixer, Aula Magna Records label manager, and a live act which has driven him to perform all across the globe. A sound experimentalist at heart, he devotes himself into expanding the sonic experience on the dance-floor and in the mind.
