Very reasonable decision. As an artist myself (who has considered putting stuff on this site once I get the time to develop games for my songs) I really understand why you wouldn’t want a style you’ve spent hours refining to be utilized to create low effort shovelware by people looking to make a quick buck. It’s sad but unfortunately not too surprising to see SoundCloud endorsing invasive ai practices, call me cynical but large companies show time and time again how little they give a shit about their user base. I think ai can potentially be a helpful tool for artists (although I currently cannot see any uses for generative ai to aid my writing, compositional or sketching process) but I think it NEEDS to be ethically trained with artists SPECIFICALLY consenting to their work being used. Anyway, guess I’ll see you on youtube, good luck! ❤️❤️

as for the music on here? i plan to upload them all to YouTube. at least, the stuff that isnt there already. ill make nice videos for whatever deserves it but many of them are just gunna be static images. really its just a band-aid for a much larger issue. i just cant trust this site with my music any longer.
