Kiedy w 2012 roku ukazała się pierwsza footworkowa EP'ka @SymbioticSounds niewiele osób w Polsce zdawało sobie sprawę z istnienia Łukasza Szydy oraz jego labelu Sequel One (współprowadzonego z Jakubem Dereżyńskim). "Everybody Loves An 808" było doskonałym balansem między charakterystycznym brzmieniem z Chicago, a europejską parkietową tradycją. EP'ka została bardzo dobrze przyjęta za granicą, supportowali ją najważniejsi producenci footworkowi: DJ Spinn, DJ Rashad, Addison Groove. Łukasz w szybkim czasie stał się najciekawszym i najbardziej oryginalnym przedstawicielem juke/footwork w Polsce.
Niespełna dwa lata po debiucie w tempie 160 bpm, Symbiotic Sounds przygotował nową EP'kę - "HIGHER". Z jednej strony, w nowym wydawnictwie, Łukasz pozostaje wierny obranej w "Everybody Loves An 808" drodze, z drugiej zaś dokonuje nowych wyborów. Dominującym wątkiem "HIGHER" jest wracający do łask, krytyki oraz słuchaczy, jungle. Jego przefiltrowana footworkiem, hybrydalna postać, staje się dla Łukasza punktem wyjścia. Klasyczne break'owe pętle przenikają się z typowym chicagowskim brzmieniem, przypominając atmosferyczną miksturę lat 90. przesiąkniętą futuryzmem.
Wszystkie utwory cechuje przemyślana dbałość o szczegóły, a efekt napięcia w każdym z nich budowany jest za sprawą idealnie dobranych środków, gdzie ważniejsza jest równowaga kompozycji, niż hałaśliwe przeładowanie. Symbiotic Sounds wciąż pozostaje wierny ciepłym analogowym barwom dalekim jednak od emocjonalnej naiwności.
Swoją pierwszą EP'ką "Everybody Loves An 808" Łukasz postawił sobie poprzeczkę bardzo wysoko. Właściwie jednym pytaniem było czy w przyszłości osiągnie podobny poziom. Już sam tytuł jego najnowszego wydawnictwa powinien wystarczyć nam wszystkim za odpowiedź czy mu się udało.

When in 2012 the first footwork EP by @SymbioticSounds was released, very few people in Poland were aware of Lukasz Szyda’s and his label Sequel One (run with Jakub Derezynski) existence. "Everybody Loves An 808" was a perfect combination of the characteristic Chicago sound and the European dance floor tradition. The EP was received very warmly abroad andsupported by the biggest footwork producers: DJ Spinn, DJ Rashad, Addison Groove. In no time did Lukasz become one of the most interesting and original representatives of juke/footwork in Poland.
Less than two years after his debut in 160 bpm, Symbiotic Sounds has prepared another EP – "HIGHER". On one hand, with his new release, Lukasz follows the path chosen with the "Everybody Loves An 808" EP; on the other hand he makes some new choices. Dominant thread of "HIGHER" is jungle, gradually returning to critics’ and listeners’ favours. Its footwork infused, hybrid form, is a starting point for Lukasz. Classic break loops mixed with the typical Chicago sound, remind of the atmospheric mixture of the 90’s soaked with futurism.
Every track sounds like it was made with a great attention to detail and the tension in them was created with perfectly picked methods. It creates an impression of a composition where balance is more important than a noisy overload. Symbiotic Sounds remains loyal to warm analogue sound while avoiding the emotional naivety.
With his first EP "Everybody Loves An 808" Lukasz has set the bar really high. The question is will he be able to reach this level again in the future? Solely the title of his new release should be enough for all of us to know the answer to that question.

@a_z_u to producent mieszkający w Kyoto. Reprezentuje liczne grono japońskich artystów zainfekowanych chicagowskim house'em i jego najnowszymi hybrydami - footwork, juke. Jego twórczość wpisuje się w coraz większą popularność footwork i juke w Japonii, a AZUpubschool staje się jego znaczącym reprezentantem.
W swojej drugiej EP'ce, będacej równocześnie debiutem w labelu Sequel One, AZUpubschool postawił na stylistyczną różnorodność i emocjonalne ciepło. Tempo przemieszcza się z soczystych 140 bpm'ów ("Things") w stronę footworkowego wiru ("Angel Whim", "Interval Efektive"), dominują melodyjne motywy. AZUpubschool poruszą się z wprawą, między pogodnym i słonecznym groove'em ("Y'all"), a bardziej ulotną i melancholijną atmosferą ("Outside"). 
"ANGEL WHIM" jest logiczną kontynuacją debiutanckiej "Lovely Her Lips". Już wtedy można było usłyszeć tę barwną i pozytywną dawkę energii, wciąż rozwijaną i wzbogacaną w najnowszym wydawnictwie. "ANGEL WHIM" będzie doskonałą wakacyjną ilustracją.

@a_z_u is a producer living in Kyoto, who represents the numerous group of Japanese artists infected with Chicago House and its most recent hybrids – footwork, juke. His work grows a part of bigger and bigger popularity of footwork and juke in Japan and AZUpubschool himself is gradually becoming its significant representative.
In his second EP, which is his debut in Sequel One, AZUpubschool chose the combination of stylistical variety and emotional warmth. The tempos oscillate from juicy 140 bpm ("Things") to footwork whirl ("Angel Whim", "Interval Efektive"), melodious motives are what dominates here. AZUpubschool skillfully moves between cheerful and sunny grooves ("Y'all") and more transitory and melancholic atmospheres ("Outside").
"ANGEL WHIM"  is a logical continuation of his debut "Lovely Her Lips" EP. Already back then one could hear this colourful and positive dose of energy, constantly enriched and developed in the newest release. "ANGEL WHIM"  is going to be a perfect holiday illustration.

W 2013 roku @Keepsakes zadebiutował w Sequel One wydawnictwem "Night Echoes". Większość utworów znajdujących się na tej EP'ce była oryginalnym rozwinięciem future i uk garage'u. Jedynie numer "Kontaina" odstawał stylistycznie od całości lokując się gdzieś w okolicach bass music przełamywanej techno. Ten, wydawać by się mogło, jednorazowy przejaw w twórczości nowozelandzkiego producenta, okazał się dominującym motywem w jego najnowszej EP'ce "STYGIAN CONCRETE WORKS" ukazującej się po raz kolejny nakładem Sequel One.
Od samego początku towarzyszą nam bezlitosne uderzenia beatu otoczone siarczystymi samplami o industrialnym pochodzeniu ("Easy Now"). W "Yessir" pojawiają się luźne skojarzenia z "Ventolin" Aphex Twina za sprawą skorodowanych i przesterowanych fraz. Kolejne utwory to konsekwentny pokaz siły Keepsakesa, który nie zamierza odpuszczać ani na moment. W "Galso In Camo" pod surowym tempem sunie głęboki bas, z kolei w "Gravlee" jest on ziarnisty i przeplata się z rytmicznym pulsem, finalny "Tunnel" przynosi narastającą dawkę hałasu otoczoną wwiercającym się w głowę morderczym loopem.
"STYGIAN CONCRETE WORKS" przynosi całkowitą zmianę stylistyczną w twórczości Keepsakes'a. Dostajemy surowe i radykalne wydawnictwo, pokazujące drzemiący w nowozelandzkim producencie potencjał oraz jego niecodzienną wszechstronność.

In 2013 @Keepsakes debuted in Sequel One with the release of "Night Echoes". Most of the tracks on the EP were an original expansion of future and UK garage. "Kontaina" was the only track that stylistically stood out, being somewhat a fusion of bass music and techno. This, as it may have seemed, singular expression in the work of New Zealand’s producer, turned out to be the dominating theme in his newest EP "STYGIAN CONCRETE WORKS" to be released on Sequel One.
 Since the beginning we are accompanied by merciless beat hits surrounded by heavy samples of industrial origin ("Easy Now"). Loose associations with Aphex Twin’s "Ventolin" appear in "Yessir" thanks to corroded and overdriven phrases. Other tracks are a consistent manifestation of Keepsakes strength, who doesn’t intend to let it go for a minute. A deep bass hides behind the raw tempo in "Galso In Camo" while in "Gravlee" its granular and interweaves with rhythmic pulse. Finally "Tunnel" delivers an increasing dose of noise surrounded by infectious and murderous loop.
 "STYGIAN CONCRETE WORKS" brings a complete stylistical change in Keepsakes‘ musical output. We receive a raw and radical release, showing the potential of the producer and his one of a kind versatility.

Umba to pochodzący z Torunia producent, a EP'ka "FERMENT" jest jego pierwszym wydawnictwem dla Sequel One. Kiedy w 2011 roku pierwsze produkcje Umby ujrzały światło dzienne, słychać w nich było fascynację surowym brzmieniem techno spod znaku Boddiki, Swamp81 oraz Nonplus. Od tamtego czasu Umba pozostaje wierny swoim wczesnym inspiracjom: wyrazistemu techno i chropawemu brzmieniu Rolanda.
Od pierwszych dźwięków "FERMENT" słychać przyświecający tej EP'ce koncept, który jest wyraźnie osadzony na kwaśnych barwach Rolanda TB-303 i stanowi punkt wyjścia dla wszystkich kompozycji. Poszczególne utwory pokazują różne warianty realizacji tego pomysłu (i wykorzystania instrumentu), a każdy z nich przywołuje odmienną stylistykę. "Buttermilk" to ukłon w stronę Plastikmana i albumu "Sheet One", w "Dill Pickles" dominuje minimal, w "Blue Cheese" pobrzmiewa dubowa głębia, wzbogacona syntezatorami i rave'owymi samplami, z kolei "Fuet" przynosi połamaną rytmikę i industrialne inkrustacje.
"FERMENT" to doskonale przemyślany projekt. Wszystkie utwory pokazują szerokie spektrum możliwości drzemiących w Rolandzie TB-303, do którego z wciąż żywym zainteresowaniem powracają kolejne pokolenia producentów. Umba we właściwy dla siebie sposób próbuje tworzyć pomost między futuryzmem, a przeszłością, ożywiając to, co minione w nowej konfiguracji.

Umba is a producer from Torun with "FERMENT" EP as his first release on Sequel One. When in 2011 his first productions saw the daylight, his fascination in raw techno sounds represented by the likes of Boddika, Swamp81 or Nonplus was clearly visible. Since then Umba stays loyal to his early inspirations: distinct techno and rough Roland sound. 
From the very first sounds of "FERMENT" one can hear the concept of the EP, which is clearly set on acid tones of Roland TB-303 and makes a starting point for all the other tracks. Individual pieces show various methods of implementing this idea (and the instrument) and each brings different stylistics. "Buttermilk" is a reference to Plastikman and his "Sheet One" album, minimal dominates in "Dill Pickles", "Blue Cheese" brings dub depth enriched with synthesizers and rave samples, while "Fuet" introduces broken rhythms and industrial incrustations. 
"FERMENT" is a well-considered project. The productions display wide tonal possibilities of Roland TB-303, which is still eagerly used by new generations of producers. Umba, in his own way, tries to create connection between futurism and the past, giving life to what’s bygone but in a new configuration.

"FAR OUT" EP to cztery utwory, z których każdy przedstawia inną i osobną muzyczną wizję. Gatunki mieszają się ze sobą, obrazy nawarstwiają i przenikają, tworząc unikalną całość. "Wars" to pełna emocji footworkowa hybryda. Dominują tu zmiany tempa, a w tle unoszą się ambientowe pogłosy. W "You Wanna Go" i "My Beat Low" słyszymy autorską interpretację slow/fast'u. Osią utworów jest hip-hop'owy puls przełamywany krótko ciętymi samplami i rytmicznym skomplikowaniem. "Articles Of Faith" ponownie wprowadza zmianę atmosfery. Utwór przywołuje skojarzenia z pierwszymi juke'owymi produkcjami Addison'a Groove'a i rytmicznymi repetycjami Mokiry.
Te zaledwie cztery utwory przynoszą bogactwo nastrojów i temperatur. Są to niezwykle przemyślane konstrukcje - zaskakujące, wielowarstwowe i sugestywne. Muzyka A.Fruit wymyka się jednoznacznemu dookreśleniu i gatunkowym kategoryzacjom. Jest w ciągłym narracyjnym ruchu, tworzy i przetwarza, wciągając słuchacza w jej ilustracyjny świat.

@AnnaFruit is a producer, sound designer and an owner of an impressive musical gear collection, who lives in Moscow. To cut the long story short – completely devoted to her passion - music. The newest, tenth release in Sequel One’s catalogue is by the mentioned artist.
"FAR OUT" EP is a four-track release and each of the tracks present different and individual musical vision. The genres blend, images overlay and percolate, creating a unique whole. "Wars" is a footwork hybrid filled with emotions. Tempo changes dominate here, with ambient reverberations floating in the background. "You Wanna Go" and "My Beat Low" present an original interpretation of slow/fast. The foundation of the piece is a hip-hop pulse broken with brief samples and rhythmic complexity. "Articles Of Faith" introduces yet another vibe change. The track brings first Addison Groove’s production and rhythmic Mokira’s repetitions to mind.
All in all it consist of rich variety of vibes and temperatures. The structures are extremely well thought – surprising, multi-layered and suggestive. A.Fruit’s music escapes the usual genre categorisation. It is constantly on the move, creating and processing, sucking the listener deep into its illustrative world.

Sequel One ma zaszczyt zaprezentować pierwszy longplay samej "głowy" wytwórni, jednej z najważniejszych postaci polskiej sceny basowej - @SymbioticSounds. 
Artysta zaprasza na pełną dynamicznych ujęć podróż przez dżunglę. Na początku był rytm i rytm już zostanie. The artist invites you to a dynamically-crazy trip through the jungle. It started with rhythm and that's where it will stay. Organic, pulsating 808 sequences and chopped up drum breaks have always been a symbolic part of Lukasz's style, so treat it as part of the landscape. On one side, he takes us to the underground climate of Chicago, yet the other side is filled with tribal rhythms and vocals which bring you back to the jungle. Wherever the trip may lead, @SymbioticSounds manages to find the perfect balance between synthesisers and samples.

Kiro Rox to kluczowa postać Sequel One. W 2012 roku ukazała się jego EP-ka "Back To Step" , która rozpoczęła cykl wydawniczy labelu.
Szczeciński producent powraca po 4 latach z debiutanckim krążkiem "HIDDEN SORROW". Artysta prezentuje się w zupełnie innej odsłonie. Jego brzmienie oraz muzyka dojrzała do tego by stać się pełnoprawnym albumem.
"HIDDEN SORROW" to dobrze zaplanowana podróż w subtelne rejony muzyki emocjonalnej, okraszonej garażowym tętnem. Tajemnicza aura towarzyszy nam już od samego początku, a kolejne utwory pokazują nam również całe spektrum umiejętności producenckich. Całość to skrupulatnie utkana opowieść z wieloma niedopowiedzeniami, które dają słuchaczowi wiele do myślenia tworząc niesamowity klimat. W albumie słyszymy wiele ambientowych inspiracji oraz zaczerpnięć z muzyki takich twórców jak Burial czy Sorrow. Kiro Rox is a key character in Sequel One. In 2012, his first EP "Back To Step", started the releasing cycle of our label.
The artist, originating from Szczecin in Poland, returns to us after 4 years with a debut disc called "HIDDEN SORROW". He lets a completely different side of his music shine through this one. His sound and music have matured enough to become a full-length album.
"HIDDEN SORROW" is a well planned journey into subtle regions of emotional music laid down with garage. A mysterious aura accompanies us right from the beginning, with later tracks showing us the great spectrum of Kiro Rox' producing abilities. The whole picture is a vague story with a lot of space for personal interpretation, which gives the listener a lot to think about whilst creating an incredible vibe. Throughout the album we can hear a multitude of ambient influences as well as inspiration from musical producers such as Burial or Sorrow. Experience in creating music and elasticity of compositions, let us delve into emotions the producer presents to us with his material.
The third album in Sequel One's catalogue to date is a new chapter, which shows how wide the spectrum of our sounds is, as well as an example of how Kiro Rox and his music have grown in the last few years.

December traditionally is the time when we bring you a present, more specifically a compilation of tracks from our usual artists and intriguing newcomers.
This year we gave everyone a chance to send over their material. From a pool of emails, we picked 17 of the most interesting productions that you will find on "GROOVE SOUNDS & TWISTED RHYTHMS VOL. V". 
On this VA, footwork dominates the horizon, but you can expect some slower tempos too. This year brought us a lot of interesting new producers, as well as names who are recognisable brands within the world of bass music, including Taso, Subroyce Feat. Don Cotti, BSN Posse, Symbiotic Sounds, A.Fruit. The material on this release comes from all over the world; Brazil, Mexico, USA, Spain, Turkey, France, Russia and Poland, making up a very global mixture of modern bass music.

Cesrv to producent pochodzący z Brazylii, którego przygoda z muzyką zaczęła się już w 2006 roku. Obecnie jest ważną postacią  na brazylijskiej scenie  basowej. Poza swoim krajem nawiązał owocną współpracę między innymi z takimi producentami jak: Dj Rashad oraz Taso. Po utworze "STRTZ", który znalazł się na kompilacji "Groove Sounds & Twisted Rhythms Vol. V" artysta odsłania nam cały wachlarz umiejętności oraz dojrzałość muzyczną  na swojej debiutanckiej EP-ce "HIGH".  
Cesar to doświadczony producent mieszkający na stałe w Sao Paulo. Bez trudu można usłyszeć energię tego miejsca, ukrytą w jego najnowszym wydawnictwie. Materiał jest kompilacją utworów powstałych na przełomie 2015/2016 w czasie podróży związanych z występami w Brazylii czy też  Stanach Zjednoczonych. Niektóre z nich zostały wykonane w studiu znajomych, a niektóre na laptopie podczas hotelowych sesji.
Utwory które znalazły się na najnowszym krążku to pulsujące rytmem kompozycje przybliżające nam klimat Ameryki Południowej, napędzane najnowszymi brzmieniami muzyki elektronicznej z nurtów footwork oraz jungle.

Cesrv is a producer originating from Brazil, whose musical endeavours started back in 2006. Currently, he's an important figure in the Brazilian bass scene. He managed to score some fruitful collaborations outside his home country, with the likes of DJ Rashad and Taso to name a few. After his single "STRTZ", which can be found on the "Groove Sounds & Twisted Rhythms Vol. V" compilation, the artist shows us his arsenal of abilities and his musical maturity on his debut EP "HIGH". 
Cesar is an experienced producer living in Sao Paulo, a place whose energy inspired and colours his EP's sound throughout. The material you can hear is a collection of productions from 2015-2016, when the artist was touring Brazil as well as the USA. Some of them were created in his friends' studios, whereas some were made on a laptop in hotels during his travels. 
The tracks found on this record are rhythmically pulsating compositions pulling us closer to the climate of South America, fueled by the most recent sounds in the electronic music world of jungle and footwork.

Kolejne wydawnictwo w katalogu Sequel One to dzieło rosyjskich producentów. TBFM i Chilllito prezentują wynik swoich muzycznych poszukiwań w siedmio utworowej EP-ce pod tytułem "FALLING". 
Cały materiał jest mocno inspirowany zabrudzonym brzmieniem legendarnego producenta z UK Buriala. Mroczny obraz całości trzyma w napięciu i dostarcza pełen wachlarz emocji. Niemal szepczące wokale, nadają nieco lekkości całej kompozycji, wybijając się nieśmiało zza ciemnych, brudnych warstw mocnego bassu i stopy.

The next release in our Sequel One catalogue was crafted by two Russian producers. TBFM and Chilllito present the result of their musical journeys in a seven track EP called "FALLING". 
The material draws heavy inspiration from the heavy sound of legendary UK producer Burial. The dark vibes of this release keep the listener in constant suspense and throw in a whole range of various emotions to deliver a unique experience. Almost whispering vocals add a gentle feel, faintly leaking through the layers of hard bass and the kick. 
Whilst listening to their work, we can travel to the darkness of rainy streets at nighttime, or find bliss in the ambient compositions woven into the music, allowing for clear depth and taste for the listener to experience.

"BADMAN NUH YA FRIEND" EP is a release in which the Polish producer, Riffz, debuts in Sequel One. 
In contrast to the artist's previous releases, which fit into the broken-up breaky jungle with a sprinkle of ragga vocals, this new material is somewhat slower, deeper and leaning towards the bass side of things. The EP does not lose its jungle core, with layers full of sliced Amen drum breaks and classic soundclash vocals. To top it all off, the release is drizzled with modern sounds of footwork, juicy Roland basslines and rave samples. 
The EP reflects on what Riffz listens to daily and what he plays in his energetic DJ sets.

"MICRODOSING" to debiutancki album zamieszkałego w Poznaniu Lux Familiara, którego muzykę można było usłyszeć na wydawnictwach takich wytwórni jak Polish Juke oraz Alkopoligamia. Rzadko spotykana sprawność w odnajdywaniu się w różnych gatunkach muzycznych pozwoliła artyście pokazać pełen wachlarz swoich możliwości producenckich, do czego nawiązuje również tytuł płyty. Na "MICRODOSING" znajdziemy zatem eklektyczną mieszankę nowoczesnego hip hopu, R&B, footworku i jungle, której wspólnymi mianownikami są ciężkie basy, twarde brzmienia maszyn perkusyjnych i chwytliwe melodie. Na krążku znalazło się również miejsce na spokojniejsze kompozycje ocierające się o klimat ambientowy. 
Różnorodność utworów doskonale komponuje się z listą gości, którzy reprezentują zróżnicowane nurty muzyczne. Na "MICRODOSING" gościnnie pojawiają się producenci związani z polską sceną footworkową; Benncart oraz Symbiotic Sounds, czy też Pawel Stachowiak odpowiedzialny za partie basu w zespołach Kroki oraz EABS, a także wokalistka ØTH, która swoim śpiewem okraszyła kilka utworów.

"MICRODOSING" is a debut album, coming directly from a Poznan native - Lux Familiar. His music could be heard on releases from labels such as Polish Juke and Alkopoligamia. A rare ability of easily finding the way across a variety of musical genres, has enabled the artist to showcase his vast production skills - something the album’s title relates to. On "MICRODOSING" we will then find an eclectic mix of modern hip-hop, R&B, footwork and jungle, which have a few things in common. Namely, heavy basslines, hard pounding drum machines and catchy melodies. Although it sounds busy, the disc had space for more soothing, ambient compositions. 
This mix of various tracks corresponds well with the list of guests on the release, who represent a great variety of musical paths. On the album, you will be met with artists heavily tied to the Polish footworks scene: Benncart and Symbiotic Sounds, Pawel Stachowiak who lays the bass parts down for the bands Kroki and EABS, and the talented vocalist ØTH who sprinkled her vocal magic on a few tracks.
The experience in music production Lux Familiar gained throughout the years, still sounds fresh and radiates a sensitivity to great composition and unexpected sounds - what this release is in its entirety. "MICRODOSING" is an album of no compromise and setting a new, unheard style on the electronic music scene in the Poland, as well as outside the borders of the country.

Należy pamiętać, że "Everybody Loves An 808" była pierwszą footworkową EP-ką w Polsce i odniosła duzy sukces za granicą, znajdując silne poparcie u czołowych reprezentantów owego gatunku; u DJ Rashada, DJ Spinna czy też Addisona Groove. W ciągu ostatnich lat muzyka Symbiotic Sounds była grana w setach na całym świecie oraz w różnych szanowanych audycjach, gdzie jednocześnie mocno ewoluowała.  
EP-ka "THE PREQUEL" zawiera 5 utworów i została wzbogacona o remix brazylijskiego producenta Cesrv, który zasilił w ubiegłym roku katalog Sequel One EP-ką "High". To materiał jak zostało wspomniane nawiazujący do "Everybody Loves An 808" ale mający bardziej letni charakter. Krótko mówiąc inspiracja muzyką juke/footwork w wakacyjnej odmianie. "THE PREQUEL" EP is a collection of new material from Polish producer Lukasz Szyda, a representative of the electronic/footwork scene and a co-owner of the Sequel One label.
Known for his Symbiotic Sounds moniker, he is now ready to deliver a continuation of his first release from 6 years ago. It's worth noting that "Everybody Loves An 808" was the first footwork EP in Poland, and it proved to be a big success abroad too, gaining strong support from the top artists in the footwork genre: DJ Rashad, DJ Spinn and even Addison Groove. During the last few years, Symbiotic Sounds' music has been played in DJ sets all over the world, as well as on respected radio shows - it reached places where it could evolve into what is is now.
"THE PREQUEL" EP is made up of 5 tunes and has been blessed with a remix coming straight from our Brazilian friend Cesrv, who contributed to our collection with his "High" EP released on Sequel One last year. The material on this release, as mentioned before, is closely related to "Everybody Loves An 808" but it has definite summery vibes. To sum it up perfectly, it's music which draws heavy influence from Footwork and that feeling during sunny summer holidays. On top of this, the prominent synths and mandatory Roland 808 drum kit, make up for a listening experience which will definitely move your feet (or even your body). Symbiotic Sounds uses warm sounding samples, which don't skimp out on Polish accents, and also the pioneer of the genre - DJ Rashad.
In its entirety, the EP definitely has that production quality and personal style the artist stands out for. With this release, Symbiotic Sounds takes you on a sunny, good-vibes-filled ride on the back of gritty footwork baselines, served in a completely different flavour - his own way that we are very confident in calling unique.

EP-ka składa się z 6 utworów utrzymanych w stylistyce juke/footwork, jednak producent pozwala sobie na więcej, wykraczając poza ramy klasycznego brzmienia z Chicago. Znane elementy perkusyjne automatu Rolanda 808, przeplatają się z pociętymi amen breakowymi samplami i brzmieniami rodem z hiphopowych produkcji. Całość okraszają wokale z pogranicza r&b, hip hopu czy brazylijskiego funku. "808'S & HARD BREAKZ" is the freshest release in the Sequel One catalogue and it is authored by a German producer DJ Ends. 
The EP is made up of 6 tracks carried in the juke/footwork style, although the producer allowed himself to step outside the boundaries of the classic Chicago sound. The classic percussion rhythms of Roland's 808 drum machine are intertwined with chopped amen break samples and sounds straight out of Hip-Hop productions. This base layer gets drizzled with vocals stemming from the vibes of R&B, Hip Hop and Brazilian funk. All this makes the EP an interesting case without any boundaries which was made for the dance floor, as well as for those who love to bust out some experimental electronic music in the safety of their home. 
Without a doubt, DJ Ends is the kind of person who sets out trends in music, so this EP can be taken as a new direction in boosting the popularity of the "neo-juke" scene out of it's infancy.

7 rok działalności Sequel One Records zostaje podkreślony kolejną odsłoną "GROOVE SOUNDS & TWISTED RHYTHMS". 
Coroczna kompilacja to stała pozycja w katalogu, która zamyka rok i przedstawia materiał od wielu producentów ze środowiska footworkowego, bassowego oraz połamanej elektroniki.
W tym roku znalazło się na niej 17 utworów, które zostały wybrane spośród wielu nadesłanych. Znajdziemy na niej artystów, którzy pojawiali się juz na wcześniejszych kompilacjach jak i wielu debiutantów z całego świata.
Życzymy dobrej globalnej muzycznej podróży!

It's been 7 years of Sequel One Records activity. We want to sum it up with another volume of "GROOVE SOUNDS & TWISTED RHYTHMS". 
This annual compilation is a obligatory thing to us, it brings up stuff from a lot of footwork, bass and break-based electronic music producers and closes the year.
This year compilation contains 17 tracks, which were chosen from multiple tracks that you sent to us. You will find a lot of the artists that were already showcased in previous volumes, but also a lot of new debut ones from all around the world. 
We wish you a great, global musical journey!

"DON'T EVEN KNO / BOMBOCLAT" to pierwsza EPka w katalogu Sequel One, która powstała przy współpracy dwóch producentów mocno związanych z labelem. Pierwszy z nich, Cesrv (Beatwise Recordings) to brazylijski producent, który powraca do katalogu po znakomitej EPce "High" i swoich produkcjach na rzecz seryjnej kompilacji "Groove Sounds & Twisted Rhythms". Drugi to Symbiotic Sounds czyli współzałożyciel marki jak i kluczowa postać Sequel One. 
EPka składa się z dwóch utworów nagranych przez obu producentów osobno, oraz dwóch remixów, które zaaranżowali wzajemnie do swoich produkcji. Pierwszy z nich to mroczna hybryda jungle juke, która zatrzęsie parkietem natomiast drugi to footworkowa podróż w orient, okraszona ostro ciętym jamajskim wokalem. Wersje zremiksowane całkowicie zmieniają obraz oryginałów. Ten wykonany przez Symbiotic Sounds staje się bardziej powtarzalną wręcz transową interpretacją, w której mrok oryginału jest jeszcze bardziej widoczny a sam remix jest bardzo przestrzenny. Cesrv natomiast w swoim remixie powraca z nieco bardziej skocznym i żywym rytmem, który miejscami jest okraszony acidowymi wstawkami syntezatorów. 
Cała EPka jest rozmową dwóch świetnych producentów i próbą przedstawienia swoich pomysłów na tworzenie muzyki. Pomimo, że obaj kojarzeni są głównie z produkcjami w tempie 160bpm to jednak każdy z nich ma swoje indywidualne i  charakterystyczne podejście.

"DON'T EVEN KNO / BOMBOCLAT" is the first EP in the Sequel One catalogue, which has been created as a collaboration between two producers closely related to the label. The first, Cesrv (Beatwise Recordings), is a Brazilian producer returning to us after his excellent "High' EP and a few productions for the "Groove Sounds & Twisted Rhythms" compilations. The second producer is Symbiotic Sounds, the label co-founder and a key member of the Sequel One family. 
The EP consists of four tracks. Two are original tracks recorded separately by the artists, and the remaining two being remixes - the artists’ interpretations of each other’s tracks. The first of the lot is a dark juke-jungle hybrid sure to shake the dancefloor, whilst the second track is a footwork trip to the Orient served with a heavily chopped Ragga vocal. Remixed versions of the tracks create completely original vibes when compared to the originals. Symbiotic Sounds’ remix of Cesrv turns into a more repetitive, or even an entrancing interpretation, in which the dark sounds of the original are even more prominent. On the other hand, Cesrv approaches his remix of Symbiotic Sounds with more snappy and lively rhythms, where in some places you are surprised with acid synths. 
This EP is essentially a conversation between two incredible producers and a display of their idea of creating music. Even though both of the artists are heavily associated with producing in the tempo ranges of 160bpm, these tracks display their individuality and characteristic approach to music.

Do rodziny Sequel One dołącza kolejny rodak Lukasz Szyda znany jako @SymbioticSounds. Artysta zawitał z 5 trackową EPką - "EVERYBODY LOVES AN 808". Po nazwie można już wywnioskować, że materiał opiera się na brzmieniu legendarnej maszyny perkusyjnej Roland 808. @SymbioticSounds proponuje dźwięki mocno inspirowane muzyką juke/footwork wywodzącą się z Chicago lecz odstające lekko od ram gatunkowych. Całość okraszona nowoczesnym brzmieniem syntezatorów w połączeniu z klasycznymi samplami daje bardzo ciekawe efekty i wyróżnia to wydawnictwo wśród innych tego typu.

Sequel One is proud to welcome a new member: Lukasz Szyda better known as @SymbioticSounds. Artist who’s recently released 5 tracks EP called "EVERYBODY LOVES AN 808". The material is based on the sound of legendary drum machine Roland 808. @SymbioticSounds presents sounds strongly inspired by the juke/footwork music derived from Chicago, but little bit different from original genre framework. However, the whole material covered by modern synth sounds combined with classic samples gives very interesting results, and allow to distinguish this release among other of its types.

"@KEEPSAKES - NIGHT ECHOES" is the position numbered 003 produced by British DJ and a producer James Barrett, currently living in Auckland (New Zeland). "NIGHT ECHOES" is, so far, the second official Barretts release, however experiencing all the compositions recorded on the CD you may get the impression that the author is much more experienced artist. It is the result of perfect sense in choosing the resources and stylistic decisions. Barrett, in excellent way, joins emotions with energy-feverish and frenetic "Anything", reflective "4.25 AM", harsh "Kontaina", retro-dreamy-like "2.10AM" and "Lounge Habit" - creating filled with organic warm production, referring to the latest trends.
