Those who have been following us for a while, might remember Faraji Heritage Experiment's "A/R/T" project from 2012. This Bandcamp demo was a mere taste of greater things to come and the time for this coming is upon us.

The Moroccan composer is back on the set with a brand new project, entitled "Nafsi". It means soul or being in Swahili. Hussein Ibn Faraji discovered his grandfather's name was not Arabic, but Swahili. This inspired him to bring together musicians of various backgrounds and have them use swahili nicknames. The same way Herbie Hancock and other Jazz men did back in in the seventies.

Cosmonostro will be releasing this project April 20th and we are delighted to exclusively premiere the amazing "Ode To Wattstax".

MPM welcomes Melodiesinfonie! "Be Thankful" is the second album by the Swiss producer and musician, who first stepped onto the scene via his EPs on Soulection. A son of a dedicated jazz fan, Melodiessinfonie grows up surrounded by his dad's audiophile record collection. He becomes a drummer and plays in a couple of experimental psych rock bands. 20 years later, he is one of todsays most promising and challenging producers. Jazz is definitley the teacher, when it comes to Melodiesinfonie's music and without Dilla he would sound different as well. Which can be said about many beatmakers but doesn't do justice to Melodiesinfonie. He is a free spirit who creates his music unaffected from the boundaries of musical genres and business policies. Musicality, vision and spirituality are the cornerstones on which "Be Thankful" is build. The album features musical friends like Marla, Miles Bonny, Djemeia, Anja Joie, Christian Crow, Nothoya and Wodoo Wolcan. It is also the first kollabo between MPM and Boyoom Connective, the artist collective founded by Meldiesinfonie and Maloon The Boom.

A little over a year ago I was involved with someone. A short-lived romance, I found myself falling into a usual cycle of initial infatuation, a halfway commitment, and an eventual falling out. I had always attributed failed relationships to my pursuit of music. That my craft and career were the root causes of my issues. But a little over a year ago, I finally asked myself why. Why was I the constant factor in these situations? I spoke with family and friends at length during a trip back home to Sacramento, CA. A trip that forced me to take an honest look at myself and realize how much of a work in progress I was/still am, and it ultimately changed my outlook and approach to love. And well...I’d like to share with you what was found. An introspective and observational piece entitled ALLISON. A chance for me to share my truths, and the truths of some of the people I know.

02 Raashan Ahmad - The Remedy feat. DJ Vajra

Electronic producer and instrumental enthusiast John Hastings (aka RUMTUM) has a unique approach to crafting his melodic melodies. His latest four track EP is heavily inspired by solitude, nature and analog synthesis. Rather than focusing on the familiar, RUMTUM escaped to the mountains to create and record music that was more about the feeling and movement of each frequency. As a result, RUMTUM’s EP taps into a new level of consciousness in his musical life.

The Cleveland native (now based in Denver) offers a broad frequency; may it be his love for native spirits or even sea life, the natural world plays the biggest part in the dynamics of RUMTUM’s writing. From a young age his obsession for mixers and knobs grew into a passion for recording with found objects and handmade instruments. While learning drums provided the musical foundation to understand bass and guitar, an amazement of synthesizer and explorations into field recordings continues to inspire his craft.
