Sunday Sessions #19 w/ Draize | Lost Recordings Special

OnlyDrums proudly joins forces with New York’s DJ Liondub to create an inspired mix series featuring artists from the Liondub International camp. Volume 12 comes courtesy of Dunk, an established but ever-rising Brazilian Drum & Bass talent well known for his work over the years as ½ of Jam Thieves on Playaz.  Dunk recently released his  “True Funk” EP on Liondub International and has received wide ranging support across the world for his deep, rolling DnB sound. Dunk provides us with a firing mix filled with Dubs and exclusives for volume 12 of the series. Thanks for your continued support over the years. Born and bred in Brighton, Smasha was raised on drum and bass by her parents listening to labels such as Ram Records and Metalheadz on the way to school. She quickly got a taste for the heavy drums and murky basslines. 

Smasha is a resident raver/DJ at the famous Volks Nightclub in Brighton. With it's reputation as hosting some of the best underground dnb events in the country, it was only a matter of time until Smasha became a regular patron to the mighty Volks. Being a part of such a tight knit and passionate sub-culture is a constant source of sanctuary and it was this sense of community that encouraged her to hone her own craft. 

During the lockdown and whilst living with her DJ/Producer partner, she was able to spend some more time on this love and pick up the headphones. Since then she spends many hours a week buying, collecting, mixing new and older tunes. 

A couple of years on and she’s played in some of her favourite local venues including The Volks Nightclub and Concorde 2 for the likes of Delirium Sessions, Overview Music, Sultry Sounds, Critical Music & Multi Function. Smasha also had a slot on her local pirate radio, Code South. 
 
Expect to hear an hour of minimal, tech, jungle and heavy rolling vibes on this mix.
