Dear Friends & Followers

It is with a heavy heart that I share the sudden and unexpected passing of our dear friend, Alexander. 

He was not just a friend to many of us but also a devoted father to two beautiful children and a loving partner to his girlfriend, Sandra. This loss has left a void in our hearts and an immense challenge for his young family.

In memory of Alexander and to support his family during this incredibly difficult time, I have decided to dedicate my latest track, Infinite, to him.

I’m releasing Infinite on @bandcamp exclusively as a „pay what you wish“ track. Whether it’s a small contribution or a larger donation, every single penny will go directly to Sandra and the kids to help them navigate the days ahead.

Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2009, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Despite entering the world of drum & bass production only two years ago, OaT has quickly made a name for himself with his deep & brooding signature sound, facilitated by years of experience producing metal music. Delta9 Recordings has a scope which stretches throughout the most creative parts of the world, places which are renowned as a hotbed for music, as well as a breeding ground for artists. From Berlin, Germany to Bergamo, Italy, the label has built itself on top of these two cities, bringing forward artists from the continent’s furthest reaches and pushing them onto the pedestal provided for them by the label. Delta9 Recordings focuses on mainly the dark, minimalistic sounds of drum & bass and this is something which is highlighted throughout their slowly growing back catalogue of music.

On this fourth instalment listeners will be completely wrapped by the loads of bass coming from these incredible deep bangers, spacing from futuristic vibes, to the classic dirty rollers and ending with the hard rollers!

Sequent is a DJ and producer from Vienna/Austria who developed her interest in music in her early teenage years, and is now known for her more deep liquid, and techier, darker flavours. 

She started collecting vinyl at the age of 14 and just two years later she discovered her love for mixing.
While expanding the collection and more and more practice the first official DJ gig in Vienna came up. 

Ever since then she played many gigs in Austria, such as ‘Mainframe’, ‘Beat it’ & Upgrade at FLEX, ‘Kolo Rave’ with the Error crew or ‘Drumfabrik’ in Upper Austria and had her first few international appearances in the UK, CzechRepublic,Slovakia, Germany & Spain.

She gained more and more notoriety with her mainly deep, dark and tech- driven sets and her sharp mixing skills which led to an interview and guestmix on the inafamous Slovakian radio show ‘Signall_FM’.

In 2022 she was also listed as one of UKF’s ‘One’s to Watch 2022.

With releases on Blu Saphir, Mainframe Recordings, Deep Within Recordings, I.D Bogota Music & PTRNS she got support from the likes of Camo & Krooked, DJ Marky, Alibi, Dossa & Locuzzed, HLZ, Arkaik & many more. 

In January 2020 Sequent and Vienna based DJ Aras launched their new monthly mix-series project ‘Sunday Sessions’ showcasing their favorite tunes in Drum and Bass.

She’s also part of a female bass music collective named AMI|KAL that she founded together with Aras,  Jalen Mess & Sarah Allen in 2020.
