Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

AL-SAYYID AHMAD Abd al-Jawad closed the door behind him and crossed the courtyard of his house by the pale light of the stars. His step was lethargic, and his walking stick sank into the dusty earth whenever he leaned on it wearily. He felt on fire and craved cold water so he could wash his face, head, and neck and escape, if only briefly, from the July heat and from the inferno in his belly and head. Cheered by the thought of cool water, he smiled. When he entered the door leading to the stairway, he could see a faint light coming from above. It flowed along the wall, revealing the motion of the hand that held the lamp. He climbed the steps with one hand on the railing and the other on his stick. Its successive taps had long ago acquired a special rhythm, which identified him as easily as his features. Amina was visible at the head of the stairs with the lamp in her hand. On reaching her, he stopped to regain his breath, for his chest was heaving. Then he greeted her in his customary way: "Good evening.". Antonio Alterino enjoys time and space one night in the desert sky. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can help you find the Red Dune. Dan Bay, Cristiano Da Silva and Santiago Bohmer enjoying their tea and speak about the mysteries of the desert all night long.

About the EP-*
In this new EP Max tried to emphasize the rhythm and groove of this music. As usual it’s a mix of traditional, organic and electronic sounds, with an acid touch this time.	
We’ve got the acoustic drums, electric synths and big rolling basslines, essentials to this Downtempo & Organic House style.
Also multiple effects and arrangements like he always loves to do.	
The beautiful African voices bring deepness and melancholy, which, we think, goes very well with the other elements.
He let his mind travel across the African plains to compose these tracks, and we wish people could do the same while listening to this EP.
