ANNĒ & SERA J return for the second edition of their Symbiosis series on Mutual Rytm.

ANNĒ, known for potent techno on the likes of Soma and Hardgroove, and Nechto and Life In Patterns associate Sera J, have had standout years that have seen them put out a stream of essential club tracks. They are partners in both life and music, and the first volume of ‘Symbiosis’ on SHDW's Mutual Rytm imprint was their first release together. Delivering an honest representation of their innermost feelings, having also contributed to the label's ‘Federation Of Rytm III’ VA in February, this new six-track EP (plus bonus cuts) presents a ‘mature and refined connection between their souls’.

The second instalment of 'Symbiosis' reflects not only their deep personal connection, but also their collaborative synergy as musical peers with the same goals. The EP captures the essence of their mutual artistic journey and showcases the strength of their bond both in life and through their shared creative vision - to create a storyline through sounds coming from their souls and convey a narrative that many listeners may find relatable.

SERA J kicks off with the lithe and ally elegant techno of ‘Your Soul Is Art’ which will have both heart and heels dancing. ‘Illusions’ is a more heavy and dubby cut with paired back grooves and pulsing synths, while ‘Glacial Pace’ is an urgent deep techno roller with turbocharged stabs and huge icy hi hats locking you into a trance.

ANNĒ steps up on the B-side with ‘Floating Waves’ exploring physical, chunky drum funk and raw synth textures. ‘Planetary Dust’ is a dark and moody astral techno journey to the stars, before ‘Sweet Seventeen’ brings a more melodic cut with a sense of hope and joy in the bright pads that shimmer above the glitchy grooves.

Both artists also offer two digital bonus cuts with SERA J's ‘Syncrosonix’ and ‘Space Velocity’ delivering perfectly reduced minimal techno monsters, while ANNĒ’s ‘Gentle Loop’ and ‘Starburst’ are interplanetary trips with widescreen cosmic synths.

SERA J., also known as Dimitrios Serasidis, is a musician, techno composer, and DJ hailing from Thessaloniki, Greece.

Deeply inspired by the Detroit techno legacy, SERA J.’s sound is a dynamic fusion of driving basslines, high-energy grooves, and intricate, captivating details. With standout releases on renowned labels such as Mutual Rytm, Life in Patterns, and Projekts, he has firmly established himself on the global music stage. His tracks have earned widespread support from leading artists worldwide, frequently charting and making their way into countless DJ sets. 
This recognition has positioned him as one of Greece's most promising techno exports.

Recently, SERA J. has been channeling his creative energy into a forward- thinking live set, showcasing explosive, futuristic soundscapes.

With over 12 years of experience behind the decks, he has shared stages with some of the world’s most celebrated artists. Today, SERA J. tours internationally, performing at esteemed clubs and festivals such as RSO, Dreaming Festival, Under Club, Fridas Pier, Lofi, and PIP, among others.

Looking ahead, his trajectory remains bright, with several exciting EPs already scheduled for release later this year.

Born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, Annē began her music career in 2012 and has since emerged as a rising talent in the world of techno. Annē’s DJ sets are high-energy and dynamic, crafted to create seamless connections with her audience. In her productions, she draws inspiration from Detroit techno and the sounds of the ’90s and early 00s, channeling her emotions into tracks that resonate deeply.

Her music has earned widespread acclaim, with standout releases on renowned labels such as Hardgroove, Symbolism, Mutual Rytm, NECHTO, CROWD, Soma Records, and Out of Place. These releases have garnered significant support from major artists, with her tracks frequently charted and played across the global techno scene.

Annē’s talent has taken her to some of the world’s most iconic clubs and events, including Berghain, Bassiani, RSO Berlin, Radion, Fuse, Fold, E1, Exhale etc. She has toured extensively across continents, performing in South America, Africa, Australia,Asia and beyond. With exciting collaborations and multiple vinyl releases planned for the near future, her trajectory continues to ascend.

Her latest record on FJAAK's label, CROWD/SPANDAU20, is making waves on dance floors, marking a significant step forward in her career. Many more releases and new collaborations are coming in the near future.

For Annē, the DJ’s role is deeply intertwined with the audience. She believes the dancer is an integral part of the musical experience, with both performer and listener contributing equally to the atmosphere. This philosophy keeps her grounded—one foot always on the dance floor, the other in the booth.

With over a decade behind the decks, SERA J. has honed his craft on dancefloors worldwide, sharing stages with some of the scene’s most influential artists. From RSO and Lofi to Dreaming Festival and Under Club, his performances thrive on technical precision and an instinctive connection to the crowd.🔊

For his SPND20 Mixtape, SERA J. presents an exclusive one-hour live set composed entirely of unreleased material. Using a hands-on setup with three machines—one dedicated to drums and percussion, another shaping mids, effects, and vocals, and a third for the main output—he constructs a dynamic and forward-thinking session. A saturator on the final output adds extra grit and intensity, pushing the frequencies to their fullest and giving the mix a raw, immersive feel.

ANNĒ is a key figure in Greece’s techno scene, fully dedicated to her craft as a DJ and producer. Her sound is shaped by strong influences from Detroit and the raw energy of ’90s and ’00s techno.

As a producer, she has released on respected labels like Hardgroove, Symbolism, Mutual Rytm, NECHTO, CROWD, and Soma Records. Her tracks are regularly played and charted by major artists, and with multiple vinyl releases and collaborations on the horizon, she continues to push forward.

For this special mix for our BCCO x ÜBERKIKZ takeover for International Women's Day, ANNĒ has curated a selection of tracks by talented FLINTA* producers, highlighting their exceptional work. The journey begins with deeper, introspective sounds before building into a vibrant, groovy energy.
