The first in a series of various artists to be released by Details Sound - The Spirit Of The Age Vol. 1 is a personal attempt to represent " the spirit " of this moment, an eye on the sea, where the initial intention of powerful and dynamic body music is changing, leaving room for a
more contemplative and reflective way of dancing, where large places give space to the little ones, taking back the original spirit of being together. On the A side, Anatolian Weapons opens with A Series Of Changes - a progression of looped vocals and acidic basslines that culminate in a full, liberating rhythm. Following A Hand Modern Cage focuses on a more hypnotic and evocative soundtrack that can perfectly match an atmospheric opening. On the flip
Gamma Intel ’s Note To My Love deliver a mix of broken and electro rhythms that are part of the artist signature sound, ending with an intricate weave of melodic basslines. The last track Dense And Ragged is signed by the renowned london-based duo Vactrol Park
who set the mood for a distopyan trip in 2049.

The human rights situation in Russia is becoming more acute each year. We believe that the violation of human rights is unacceptable. With Hand to Hand VA we want to draw public attention to this problem and provide assistance to organizations involved in helping people faced with arbitrariness. We have brought together like-minded musicians who share the ideas of cooperation, freedom and unity.

All proceeds from the VA will be split equally between the Russian human rights organizations: Mediazona (an independent media platform focused on the judiciary, law enforcement and penal system in Russia founded by Pussy Riot members Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova) and OVD-Info (an independent human rights media project aimed at combating political persecution).

PREMIERE: Odopt - Fear [Serenades]

The square was vast and wide, only a handful of people were strolling around in the cold, harsh morning air. The myriad of shops bordering the cobbles were beginning to open; awnings out and signs propped front, right and centre, advertising all manner of trinkets, treasures and memorabilia. Soon the place would be brimming with visitors from near and far, all looking for something unique to bring back home with them - for a piece of this place, a memory of a time well spent. 

After their first split-format EP with Anatolian Weapons and LINJA back in 2021, Russian imprint Serenades are returning for another, and this time its Dolphins and Odopt sharing the wax. Continuing the series' mission to connect artists from different places around the world, the release features two tracks from the project of Benedikt Frey, Markus Woernle & Nadia D'Alò as Dolphins and Grigory Nelyubin & Ivan Maslov as Odopt. Strains of downtempo, leftfield and psychedelia all interweave: there's music for losing yourself and forgetting your worries on the dance floor, and there's also sounds for introspection and deep listening.

Panka Panka is a project devised by Miguel Blanco and Xarlie, from Gameboyz, two thinking heads each with different backgrounds and experiences. Different tastes and ideas but all of them coincide in the unlimited passion they have for music, as long as it is interesting. From techno to electro, going through more experimental material.

They have produced on labels like Melomana Records or Logical Records, they have published mixes on labels like Disco Suicide, Chromatic Club, Feed your head, Sxdns or Honest allies managing to stabilize on a unique terrain, at a time when it is increasingly difficult to sound different, not to mention original or inspiring.

Musically it is characterized by a daring and careful fusion where the melodies and instruments manage to transport us to places where the same can be low temperatures, warmth or suffocation. Panka Panka's technique and knowledge give his productions a unique style influenced by more than a decade, especially those where "rave" culture and more "underground" aspects have been a modus vivendi.

This duo with base of operations in Badajoz, offers us a musical excursion that is based on kindness, evocative soundscapes and experimentation with the most current, intelligent, elegant and subtle dance electronics. The organic and the melodic come together creating delicate soundtracks. Melancholy and suggestion, irony and ease. Atmospheres and warmth. Music to dance without leaving the place.

Premiere : Umbra - Cruise To The Moon In A Hot Air Balloon [Hard Fist]

The 'Sail We Must' EP by Irish producer Signa Rust draws inspiration from Alfos, reflecting a mutual appreciation for slower-paced sounds around the 100/110bpm mark. Crafted primarily with analog gear, it's a track that embodies hope and is dedicated to Signa's late father. The saying "fail we may, sail we must," an old fisherman's adage, resonates throughout the work, honoring his lifelong career in the industry. The opening track unfolds with a 303 and a uniquely twisted synth arp, then shifts gears with the introduction of strings, infusing the piece with a sense of hope and serene joy. '13.0 TeV' begins with the characteristic 808 percussion sounds, mingled with dubby samples that create a Rastafarian ambiance, followed closely by the 303's simmering acidity, before escalating with a distorted pad sequence. The EP concludes with Will Flisk's remix of '13.0 TeV'.

"Spezzatino Porcino” is the new album by Fabio Fabio, set to be released on September 13th. An album that could be defined as progressive trip-hop, in which Marco Foresta and Mattia Ricco wander between electronic sounds, tribalism, slow rhythms, and fragments of random moments from Rai Radio Tre, along with the sounds of the Canavese woods, transforming walks into explorations of a mysterious tropical jungle: a provincial man transforms into a man of the world. 

A unique album in its meta-genre, composed of 7 tracks immersed in various soundscapes that amplify the diversity of the mixed ingredients. Compositions that feel like journeys through someone else's memories, reminiscent of school trips to “Minitalia.” 

Like an adventurous bike trip, cinematic and intense. Distorted impressions of old vinyl records found at flea markets or given by relatives who have discarded their turntables in the attic to listen to music on their phones. 

A playful blend of dark voices, heavy beats, and elegant arrangements, where sound is shaped with a precise, organic, and varied style: you are unlikely to hear anything quite like it, but it will remind you of many things you have already experienced. 

It’s like visiting an old abandoned villa, immersed in the woods, reclaimed by the forest: every room resonates differently, chaotic, still, and serene. Each door conceals the power of a restless place filled with asymmetrical yet ordered and crumbled memories: the then becomes the now. 

Pagan nursery rhymes ooze from the walls. A promiscuous blend that possesses a wild, handcrafted, and witty sound density: this is the key to deciphering the recipe for spezzatino porcino.

Amandra, half head honcho behind Ahrpe Records, goes for subtly evolving and droning atmospheres. With releases spanning both a wide range of electronic genres and record labels: Nous'klaer Audio, AD 93, Tikita or Semantica, just to name a few; the French producer based in Toulouse illustrates with coherence his own vision of acid and tribal rhythms that can be presented with either bright and soft feelings or through a darker, more disturbed path.

Brera Som Som EP
As always with Amandra, there is a blend of poetic and soft hidden touch given to the music through carefully crafted personal track names. Brera Som Som is a 4-tracker EP, recorded back when he lived in Warsaw Poland, showcasing the artist's ability to navigate through niche genres. It comes as a double 12" package cherry-topped with four intelligent and eclectic remixes from artists with their own unique identity: Shielding, Whylie, Martinou and Brainwaltzera.

Brera Som Som
I want my music to breathe dirty so it's alive to my ears, trying to stay away from surgical, clean, electronic music. The Prophet 08 is the one here, recorded by hand, with assumed offbeat imperfections, as always. I wanted to get a naïve Asian mood out of it, just to try and contrast with the rest of the track. I tend to think a lot about my tracks and their meaning more in terms of feelings, art and techniques than in terms of deep messages, political views, dance floors or whatever. Brera Som Som is a try at using the chiaroscuro technique depicted in classical paintings for instance, where you can have an interesting focus on some very specific elements.

Cyborg Pelikana
Recorded out of a jam on a Soma Pulsar 23 and some heavy distorted synths, it ended up sounding like no other recordings I made. The structure is also a bit different as I wanted to have a more composed-like approach here.

Fanfaron
Here is a try at going jungle... with a Moog DFAM and a 303 processed through a Sherman Filterbank.

Prorokini
This one belongs to a phase where I was exploring the sampling side of electronic music. Until that moment I was building 100% of my drums and ideas based on raw drum machines and some processing, then started feeling how it would feel to sample some raw external beats from a drummer for instance and process them my way. I didn't pursue that sampling lead much afterward because it felt like a boring approach to me at that time but a few tracks stood out anyway, like this one, which I'm very proud of. The synths are clearly programmed on the Prophet 08, it can't go any more Dave Smith Instruments than that, if you like them, go grab that synth!

"Interpreting Amandras' work has been on my bucket list for a while. There’s something in it that is innately humanizing and raw which I also wanted to capture in my remix. The melody line from the remix is just a snapshot of a small part of the full original track, but it stuck with me and expanded through improvisation to what you see before you today. With this remix I wanted to make something that would swell slowly and ring out into infinity.

Almost a decade after its first release, Acid Youth returns on MFZ Records with the album "Darkness Is Not Easy".
This new work is the result of years of research and refinement in defining an aesthetic that merges the acid imagery with the song form and melody.

Alongside the usual suspects (808, 303, analog and digital synthesizers), new acoustic and electric elements (drums, guitar, bass) are introduced. The result of this mix is a personal reinterpretation of the sounds from the '90s alternative music scene.
The rhythmic precision of the synthetic elements guides melodic structures characterized by human imperfections. Fuzz guitars go with the acid lines of the 303, while drums mix up with the analog percussions of the 808.

The album’s tracks blend techno atmospheres, shoegaze moods, acid psychedelia and drone expansions.
"Darkness Is Not Easy" is a musical journey accessible to anyone who doesn’t particularly care about strict boundaries between musical genres; a path to be taken without preconceived notions or bias of any kind.

Originally from France, Laurence moved to Brasil 10 years ago and since then has been involved in the Voodoohop collective. A Macaca (literally the female Monkey) emerged during the Voodoohop Party as a performing entity that toys with contradiction and expectation.
Her identity is in constant mutation, playfully transforming between animal and human, masculine and feminine. Blurring the boundaries between public and performer, she connects with her surroundings by dancing, feeding the floor as if it were a big fire, the music; the wood found on her path and her mixing; a way to adjust the intensity of the flames. Her mix oscillates between tension and release, surfing on the waves of harmonies and hormones.

Serenades Edit #15 - Lem's - Don't Kill The Elephants (Running Hot Edit)

The Futurists rejected tradition and introduced experimental sounds , and this fact, that influenced a lot of composers during the 20th century, helped them to build a concept that started the career of Barcelona based duo Iro Aka. The evolution of their music started with this EP, fluctuating through psychedelic and esoteric influences, taking as its main references the continuous technological evolution and those new techniques to make electronic music. “Futur” is an extract of the first ideas of Iro Aka. They started the project at the beginning of the 2017 and then this EP was produced then, showing the abstraction that they felt at that moment, a path drawn by different sounds that came from different people and different places.

Tapan leaves their mark on Zukunft with reimagining the original as a slowly building, tribal inspired and almost sitting in an alternative timeline. Clever use of percussive elements does not take away from the track being playable in the club.

The slightly psychedelic dance floor experience is delivered by Anatolian Weapons. Pulsating rhythms intertwine with classic drum sounds and paint a mood almost contradicting the vocals of the track. Perfect secret track for any dance-floor.
