For the foreseeable future I've decided to self release my music as Chymera. It means that I can release when I want and what I want.

Here's the first release. Two tracks on the deeper techno tip.

Since then, it has been distributed for free on Soundcloud for a while, but we decided to make a remaster and release this beautiful track on Minor Notes. The monotonous and calm, but bright vibe of this remix is perfect for the warmup of a house-style dance party!

MNRD008 - Darran P - Without You (Guydee Remix)

The third single from Serge Santiago for Jack Said What is a collaboration with label bossman Irvine Welsh. “Everyone’s talking about acid house,” Irvine intones in his inimitable Scottish accent. The Trainspotting author recorded an exclusive monologue about a night out on ecstasy for Serge’s forthcoming album ’11:11’, which Serge then cut up in the studio for ‘Rave Dance’. The result is a unique, quirky club track that will undoubtedly find favour on many late-night dancefloors.

Dedicated to the twang of Roland’s silver baseline box with a varied string of artists: DVS1, Marko East & Jordi Chu (whose collaboration sparked the idea of a whole series), Like A Tim via Prins Thomas, Katerina and I:Cube.

The Parisian put it in a nutshell, too: „Although rinsed to death to the point of becoming a parody of itself, acid will last forever.“ Therefore, his Folie Noire is combining the original recipes with hypnotic European influences, while Marko and Jordi present a rough and direct 303-909 live jam, Prins Thomas puts his wickedest smile on Like A Tim’s Wonderline from 2005 and Katerina sets a lucid dream to sanguine music.

Finally, there is a rare and much desired musical outing by the unique DVS1. A direct ode to Chicago’s acid and beatdown styles and its Midwest companions, it is a heads-down-lights-down late night track made for driving up and down Lower Wacker Drive. Trippy trip artwork by the inimitable Gasius.

Trivia: If the piano is the bread of house music, the acid line is its butter!

Jæger and Full Pupp mainstay, Ivaylo, features on his first original release at Mhost Likely. Accompanied by the modern-day keys wizard Byron The Aquarius and Radio Piñata resident Tom Manzarek, the Spectrum EP is a collection of tracks equally suitable for listening and clubbing.
The EP kicks open with the title-track 'Spectrum'; a cruise into dreamy synths and driving drums. Spectrum makes no mistake about its intentions, immediately introducing you to a pulsating drum section, followed by a stepping and syncopating bassline. The song's continuous evolution is sprinkled with an ever-evolving array of percussion, synths and vocals that melt together in a pot of beautiful and mesmerizing deep house. For the second track, 'Radar Fønk', Ivaylo notches up the tempo. The drums and percussion are ever-present, and the bass rolls across the groove, inviting you into his soundscapes. The rhythm section continues with the shaking percussion and dancing groove as a natural follow-up to the previous track, complimenting the last track title superbly.
Byron The Aquarius is next, touching 'Spectrum' with his signature Detroit-inspired sound. The Alabama-based producer keeps the original theme of the track intact with dreamy vocals and classical Detroit-inspired electric piano while adding another layer of funk with a more traditional deep house beat, giving the song a new but familiar glance—a must-have on every DJs USB. Tom Manzarek completes the EP with his leisurely sun-waxed and dubby take on 'Radar Fønk.' The French producer takes the original tempo down, with pulsing pads accompanied by moody melodies, while at the same time pinpointing his dubby production style, which makes for a fitting end to our voyage.

Serge Santiago has been half of some memorable duos in his time — Radio Slave, Retro/Grade, Waze & Odyssey — but his new solo material signals a fresh chapter for the Brighton-based DJ/producer. Removed from any necessity to compromise, Serge has crafted an album of top-drawer dancefloor gear that he’s serendipitously calling ’11:11’. Released in the autumn, ‘Ear Racer’ is the first single to be taken from that album, while Serge has also rebooted the events brand, Stompa Phunk, he co-founded. There have already been some off-the-hook Stompa Phunk parties at assorted Brighton venues in the past year, with plenty more to come.
