at the time of writing Ruins of the Forest Temple i was obsessed with Cryptovolans' album Passenger and the Panzer Dragoon soundtracks, i think you can really hear the influence hehe. it also was my first time doing a track with a physical module, and despite having a big pool to choose from (kind staffcirc colleagues let us render our tracks in their modules) i still wanted to go with my old Yamaha. it's the keyboard i grew up with and the one i learnt music with as a kid, so i feel this was the least i could do to repay my debt :')

i wrote this song in a random one night session a couple months back, basically the only thing i've written since March. recently submitted to the Infloresce snowdrop festival :)

The magic of nature reigned supreme in the world. Before The Signal, ancestral harmony filled every corner of these lands.

We druids knew that our way of life would come to an end, so we enjoyed each day as if it were our last: with the joy of a child learning to play, but with a deep and solemn sorrow in the depths of our hearts.

Every night, we gathered around our sacred circle of stillness. As the magical drink permeated our minds, we caressed the texture of the stone and moss under the moonlight, in communion, laughing so loudly that even the creatures of the forest feared us.

It was a slow farewell. A farewell that lasted days, weeks, months, and years.

And just when we had no strength left to say goodbye, the moment came.
