We’re back with the boys from Latvia for our 73rd iBreaks release.  Under This give us a double A-side showing two different sides of their production stylings.

“Let Yourself Go” leads the way, and there’s no messing about - it’s straight in with a big rolling breakbeat, a throbbing low end bassline, and a pulsing, growling, metallic synth that really sets the tone of what to expect.  A switch up in the bassline after the halfway point raises the energy and makes this one pure peak time.

In stark contrast, the Under This boys flex their deeper, groovier muscles on “Attraction” which is built around a Nile Rodgers flavoured guitar riff over speaker busting beats and bass.  The addition of a female vocal lifts the vibe, rounding off this disco breaks tune to a tee.

Willie Graff & his musical partner Darren Eboli deliver another fantastic 4 tracker on Copenhagen’s Music For Dreams Label.
Willie Graff splits his year between DJ residencies in New York and Ibiza (Pacha). In this second outing with studio partner Darren Eboli, the influence is, African, NY clubbing, World mixing Mediterranean and further afield. The duo finds its roots in the past, building a link between the soul of a song and the warmth of a melody then combining them with a contemporary sound.

The opener “All Is Bliss” sits at the pinnacle of the underground – A powerful, Balearic, disco influenced club track full of Spanish guitar, handclaps, club synths sounds like it was made for Dj Harvey’s “Mercury Rising” at Pikes in Ibiza.
“Ahimsa” is an outstanding track with funky breakbeat, weird Eastern samples, sneaking acid and Kraftwerk like arpeggios.
“La Sirena” is a balearic beach styled mid tempo chugger with chopped up breaks, deep sub-bass, Compass Point styled keys, whispering voices saying “Let Your Mind Be Free” .

If you are a Cafe Del Mar connoisseur and longing for that sunset moment “Bellatrix” does the trick featuring bits of Spanish Guitar, Flute, Oboe and floating warm pads creating that early 90ties vibe. Another winner from Willie and Darren - and hopefully an album soon

Sergei Orange is a sound producer from Warszaw, who has been involved in electronic music since 1999.

His early productions were inspired by the work of the legendary groups such as The Prodigy and The Crystal Method. After five years of searching for the style of his own and writing instrumentals for rap artists, Sergei finds his niche in the Breaks genre, and begins developing his own sound within the style. In 2004 he successfully masters FL Studio and studies production and mixdown theory, celebrating his first release on RUNE Recordings.

Today, Sergei Orange is the leading resident of the label, active participant of the Electrofood Promo Group, with consistent releases on Ego Shot (HU), VIM (GRE), Welcome Music (RU), Kiosek Records (CH) and RUNE (UA). 

Sergei has been engaged in writing his debut album with the support of Mechanical Pressure, Windom R, Electrofood CH. The "Newer World" LP was successfully released on his home label RUNE Recordings in 2016.
