An exclusive preview of my cover version of 'Hold That Sucker Down' taken from my Trance Mission album which will be available for pre-order on May 19th and released on June 20th.

The album will feature 12 cover versions of some my all time favourite trance records and it will be available in double CD and digital format.

"Originally released in 1994 on Cheeky Records – “Hold That Sucker Down” by The OT Quartet (Rollo from Faithless and Rob D) was a massive chart hit worldwide. The riff is definitely one of the most instantly recognizable melody progressions in the history of electronic music. I used to play this relentlessly – not only back in the day when it first came out but again and again over the years when various decent remixes have emerged. Covering the record I wanted to do something totally different so decided to take a deeper spacey techno vibe. This version is on the Trance Mission album and there’s a killer trance remix from Johnny Yono on CD2 (a bonus CD of exclusive remixes) and we are preparing a massive line up of remixes for the single release – out in September on Perfecto."

The first release on Reinier Zonneveld’s own imprint, Filth on Acid, launches a special EP-series, Cocktails Mix series, whereby Reinier Zonneveld collaborates with artists that influence him, both creatively and personally.

Cocktails Mix I brings 4 different variations of tech to the floor. First up is Cold Conquest, featuring Stil vor Talent's head honcho Oliver Koletzki, together they deliver a peak-time track with lots of emotional and musical elements, while keeping a steady heavy rhythm section.

Adding Gem’s labelhead Secret Cinema to the cocktail gives us a purist no nonsense techno banger perfect for dark rooms and dirty basements. 

For the third track on the EP, we see Reinier Zonneveld combined with Gabriel Ananda, showing their emotional and deep signature sound coming to the forefront, with mesmerizing melodies and brilliant synthwork. Perfect for a night closer or sunny open air.

Finally the EP closes of with Matt Sassari and Reinier going all out with an extreme energetic bomb, featuring a machine gun like synth bass.

The former Hong Kong residing DJ took Asia and its neighbors to another musical level, running her own branded Rewind parties and showcasing her devout record collection to underground dance floor enthusiasts. Morttagua and Gaby met last year during Morttagua’s Asia tour and both felt a special musical bond with each other.
