Recorded just for fun :) I'm not a real slap guy, but anyway, the slap line was recorded with both pick-ups. Chords in the right channel was recorded using finger technique on a neck pick-up and the solo plays on a bridge pick-up using a pick. Bass tuned B-E-A-D. A bit of reverb added as well :)

Caparison Dellinger Bass Trio

I'm currently working on the sound for already recorded bass for a brand new Preternatural song. I've got 4 signals mixed in different proportions: DI, Darkglass B7K overdrive pedal and two mics - Shure beta 52 & 57. Gallien-Krueger rig, two 2x10 cabs. The amp is boosted with the Darkglass as well.

Undusted - i-Disorder (Serhio mix)

 A brand new track by Preternatural - Latvian dark metal band I play bass for as well. I did a mix and mastering for this song and I could say that I'm very happy with the result. On this record we used Caparison Dellinger bass with Darkglass B7K bass overdrive preamp and Jaden Rose 7 custom guitar.

Preternatural - "Cage Of Conjuring" samples (isolated tracks)

Check out the isolated bass & drums tracks taken from a new song of my band Preternatural. This is the last mix I did and I really dig into the bass sound I've got. On this record I used Caparison Dellinger bass and the signal chain looks like this:
- Radial DI box - Darkglass B7K bass preamp / overdrive - Gallien-Krueger bass rig w/4x10 cab - Shure beta 52 mic.
- direct signal taken from DI.
- driven signal taken from B7K.
As a result I've got three signals blended into one.

Hi! Here is a little comparison between my very own Caparison Dellinger bass and my new Gjallarhorn custom 5-string made by Andrew Schultz of Schultz Guitars (Brutal Guitars). Every first take is Dellinger bass, every second one is Gjallarhorn bass. The both basses have new sets of D'Addario ProSteels strings and tuned to BEAD(G). The signals are recorded directly, no any processing, no DI box, both pickups with a flat EQ. I just added 2 dB to Dellinger to make a level more even, because Gjallarhorn bass has a very hot output. A one more comparison between Gjallarhorn 5 custom bass by Schultz Guitars & Caparison Dellinger bass. The first one is Gjallarhorn, the second one is Dellinger. The both basses have new sets of D'Addario ProSteels strings and tuned to BEAD(G). The both basses are equipped  with EMG active pickups: PJ set on Dellinger and 40DC on Gjallarhorn. Very quick test of Microtubes X7 multiband distortion pedal by Darkglass Electronics. The first signal is taken from XLR output of the X7. The strings are 2 months old :) But the second was recorded in a studio and the signal chain was: Microtubes B7K overdrive pedal - Gallien-Krueger amp - 4x10 cab - Shure beta52 mic. The strings was fresh. Bass - Caparison Dellinger.
