Chromatic Study of C#

A novel begins:

Prologue

November, 1989. Berlin. The Wall is falling.
                 Paris. Matthias sits drunk in a brasserie, mesmerised by the television.
                 Sydney. His brother, Oskar, decides that he will soon die.

Inspired by the simple yet emotionally charged scenes, I have begun to translate each sentence into musical compositions.
