Berlin-based artist and label project ASEC, centered around raw, yet hypnotic and dancefloor-oriented electronic music is our guest for podcast number 102. To Berlin via Manchester, ASEC’s music focuses on tension and release with tracks that build momentum and intensity. As a Producer, Live Act and DJ, ASEC delivers his driving and expansive vision of electronic music which consists of dark textures, idiosyncratic melodies and dynamic drum sounds. The latest entry to the Local Selection Mix Series welcomes Tipperary-born DJ and promoter OISINOK. The 712 resident has carved out a flaming mix filled with an array of fast-paced hypnotic and groove-infused techno from start to finish. Mesmerising stuff.

Having firmly solidified himself as a formidable disc jockey in Ireland's thriving music scene over the last year, OISINOK has supported a range of high-profile artists such as Charlie Sparks, Paula Temple, Nico Moreno, Tommy Holohan, Cailín, blk., and Fjakk. Spanning right across the country which is nothing short of impressive for this dedicated young artist. Additionally, OISINOK is set to make his international debut in Ibiza for Reboot's Outset Festival at Eden Ibiza alongside blk. at the end of May.

With a style and sound that is entrenched in driving, murky techno territory he finds himself firing from all cylinders with this beefy recording. OISINOK takes no prisoners with this hour of power as he includes a variety of pacey kicks, sharp cuts and eerie synths throughout with a range of tracks from Undivulged, Alberto Tolo, Erik Burka, Infiltrator, Zisko and more. Fuse resident DJ and techno producer Downside is rapidly making a name for himself in the techno scene. He is no newcomer to the Brussels underground, putting out music and organizing parties for more than a decade.

For some historical context, Downside is a Brussels native with Bulgarian roots. Since 2007, he was already out, raving and playing at parties. On his days off, you could find him delving into audio engineering, obsessing over kick drums, compressors, recreating his favourite tracks from scratch. He kept at this for years, and then started organizing his own events in Congres Station of Brussels, and saw some of his original tracks released on his label - X/Y/Secret and others. His consistent output and activity led him into the Fuse Club's family, first as an audio engineer, then as a resident DJ, which puts him right at the heart of the future direction of techno. In his own sets, Downside combines techno and dub timbres with a precise, underground vibe. You'll hear his own tracks, blended with exactly what the audience needs, a skill perfected by deep experience as a DJ and sound engineer in Belgium's most legendary club.

Those in the know would be wise to keep an eye on Downside.

Techno in all its modalities, always supporting a hard an agressive line, with melodic and elegance nuances.

He develops a great interest in the Genius producer of Sound Tracks ( John Williams, Basil Poleudoris and James Horner) and in 70´s Rock & Roll ( Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple)
​
Inspired and trained by the 90´s electronic scene in Madrid, at an early age he is influenced by legendary sessions like the ones from New World, Attica and Over Drive.
​
In 1999 he statrs hes career like an amateur Dj until he takes the risk pursuing his Dream.After being in many party rooms and getting experience as a Dj, in the year 2005 he starts in the world of Musical Production.
​
With the help of Cristian Varela, he produces in Pornographic Recording with the track Sergy Casttle- Xpansive being recognised in the Top Vinil Record sales in 2005.
​
In 2006 he takes part of the booking in Phrenetic society, where he stays for 8 years.
 
 In 2008 he wins an Award for Best Newcomer DJ in Spain, and 2º Best Song of the Year for Arpeggiator in the Awards Deejaymags Spain.
​
His sessions and sets as 100% made with his own productions, something that only a few artists can offer. 
 
His tracks are supported and incluided in artists sessions such as Carl Cox, Cristian Varela, Solomun, Umek, Richie Hawtin, Adan beyer, Marco Carola, Ben sims, Luciano, Technasia,
Dj Rush, Dj Murphy, etc,...and in the  best festivals: Ultra Music festival, Tomorrow Land, Dance Valey, Mistery Land, Rock in rio,  Awakenings, I Love Techno, Monegros Festival, Sensation White, Space Ibiza Closing, etc...

He is a regular in the Top Sales of Beatport and Itunes, and he counts with more than 300 published tracks, including 40 in Vinil Format.
