The 'Before Everything Else' project comes back to life to celebrate 15 years of Serialism. Vol. 5 presents a unique selection of groovy minimal and house numbers, showcasing new music from the freshest additions to our ever-growing roster with gems from old and new friends. As usual, the compilation comes with a pre-release mix by label-boss Cesare vs Disorder, who has selected 16 tunes that represent all the different sound nuances of the label. BEE Vol. 5 unfolds through the deepness of the house realm, ranging from swinged minimal, forward-thinking and futuristic jams to more melodic and trippy old-school breakbeat moments. Having outgrown but never forgotten his Peruvian roots, Un_Mute resident Mario Liberti is now a force in the world scene. His releases span an impressive cross-section of genres that converge on breaks, electro, house and techno and continue to push boundaries into new and exciting sonic spaces. With the COVID break giving Mario the time and space to expand his musical reach, the result has been releases on a range of go-to labels. Mario has released on the likes of RAWAX, FUSE, Pachinko, Sentaku, Pleasure Zone, as well as running his own labels Deep In Dis, TCR. and also releases as Sons Of Immigrants alongside his Chilean friend Rafael (Pinguino). 

To say we are excited to present a mix from Mario is a bit of an understatement. His fusion of timeless Acid House, electro and more vocally house is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise serious world of underground electronic music. His use of percussion and massive basslines means that the energy he exhibits during his live sets transfers over effortlessly to this recording. Not wishing to rush anything, he lets the tracks succinctly bleed into the next on occasion, letting the music do the talking as if mixing themselves and as Mario says, “Good things come to those who wait, because not everything reveals itself at once.”

In celebration of 18 years at the cutting edge of underground electronic music, Serialism Records proudly unveils Before Everything Else Vol. 6; a two-part compilation that marks both a legacy and a fresh chapter, a love letter to almost two decades of underground evolution, vision, and community.

Split into Night and Morning editions, each volume comes with its own distinct sonic universe and artwork, offering a full-spectrum journey through the label’s DNA.

The Night Edition (Pt.1) is a pulse-raising selection of House, Garage, Tech House, and Breakbeats, crafted for peak-time sets, warehouse moments, or dark-room euphoria. The forthcoming Morning edition (Pt.2) will ease into more stripped-down, Minimal, and after-hours territory, a soundscape that has long defined Serialism’s deeper, more hypnotic side.

PRST Club resident duo Apua and Stipo have been pivotal in the progress of Austria’s underground scene. Regularly being called upon to support the visiting talent to their home city of Vienna, these two rising artists are stars in the making themselves. As well as both artists being part of the Vienna Worldwide collective, Stipo is the founder of the Rhythm Science imprint. 

Having seen what they can do when Stipo was part of our Easter PRST egg-travaganza, we couldn't wait for the pair to join our InSession series. They have not disappointed as they raise the levels from the first track. With the funk dialled up to eleven from the outset, they quickly shift through percussive house, vocal gems, before shifting up a gear with chunky tech house. Regardless of the subgenre, Apua and Stipo always maintain their love of vibe-heavy stunners.

The Morning Edition (Part 2) dives into more stripped-back, minimal, Breakbeats and after-hours terrain, crafted for those intimate sunrise sets and hypnotic deep-space dancefloors.

This volume reflects the label’s soulful, heady, and more introspective identity. If the Night Edition was built for clubs and peak-time pressure, the Morning is for open-air rooftops, early morning tunnels, and sun-kissed gatherings where sound takes on a dreamlike quality.

This second half features a powerful lineup of underground artists, both veterans and rising voices, each shaping a unique moment of this sonic journey.
