Jin Choi is a musician, producer, DJ and live artist based in Berlin, Germany. Equally focused on groove and melodic structures, his music fuses electronic and naturalistic sounds to move the head and body. Once coined modern minimal, Choi's productions are equal parts emotion, melody and rhythm. "Full Range" is his first release on Serialism Records, the London/Berlin label run by Cesare Marchese (Cesare vs Disorder) & Federico Benedetti (Onirik). 
 
In a recent interview, Choi described himself as a Burial loving music-nerd who is simply trying to create his own musical language. He has released on Lessizmore, Contexterrior, RomanPhoto & Archipel, to name a few. For SER10, 
he joins forces with Maceo Plex (aka Maetrik, the moniker he saves for his darker techno productions) to do just that. Most known for his recent revered deep-house single, "Vibe Your Love" on Crosstown, Plex makes the release the perfect late-night tool. 
 
First up is "Full Range", a dubby tech-house number with ominous and increasingly glitchy repetitive vocals that remind the listener of what Choi seems to already know -  "music is the universal language, music is no longer irrelevant".  
 
Next, "Half Baked", the EP's star, manages to perfectly fuse industrial sounds with melody making a blissed-out, deep- house track. Mysterious squeaks, hisses and factorial inner workings provide the backdrop while warm time-stretched 
freestyle vocals guide us through the production.  This track gets the most attention with two different remixes by Maceo Plex. The Groove Remix is a darker, more up-tempo affair providing the groove needed to make this the 
perfect peak-time track for a late-night tipsy sway on the dancefloor. Pitched down, looped vocals and driving synths provide the anchor. The Deep Remix is around 9-minutes of Chicago house inspired sounds layered with snappy high hats and emotive chords. The EP also comes complete with an extended edit of Half Baked. 
 
Rounding out the EP is "Red Day". A jazzy production that shows off Choi's ability at mixing the machine with the heart; wrench-like clinking and clattering punctuate the melancholy (yet upbeat) progression of the track while the melody twists, bends and whirls.

Jin Choi - Full Range

From the cold region of Siberia, Russian alien Denis Kaznacheev graces us with a session that demands attentive listening.

His signature sound, woven from diverse rhythms, unfolds a hypnotic, dense, and fluid narrative that drifts like fog on a timeless dawn. The selection is a sonic proposal where each percussion, texture, and deep bass seems to breathe with deliberate intent.

Denis's singular groove intertwines sequences with microscopic yet distinctive elements: deconstructed percussion, distant echoes, and fragmented voices that surface unexpectedly. Session #126 is a deep, patient journey—  it doesn’t seek to accelerate the body, but rather to expand the act of listening.

Kaznacheev draws an invisible line between the organic and the synthetic, between introspection and motion. A session meant to be experienced with closed eyes, ideal for those who know that dancing doesn’t always require vertigo—sometimes, it needs depth.

Immerse yourself, disconnect from the outside world, and allow this set to reveal the secret rhythms hidden in the cracks of silence.

Heading up the Zapped Records label, Annina, originally from a small country town in Finland is a track-sourcing weapon. This caused a buzz of chatter in the scene after a string of knock-out DJ performances to a packed Wintergarten (Sisyphos) and iconic Golden Gate closing sets in 2022/23.

Annina has continued to blaze a trail through Berlin and beyond having played at venues such as Hoppetosse, Watergate, Culture Box, Club der Visionäre and Garbicz festival just to name a few.

Furthering her skills in the studio she is also making an entry into the world of production with multiple release dates set both on Zapped Records, her own independent Bandcamp and other labels. 📡💚

Until he launched his own Radio Matrix label with a clever and conceptual series of EPs in 2014, Delta Funktionen was exclusively tied to Dutch stable Delsin and its sub labels. It is there that he has roamed from techno to electro to dub, and there that he has put out a string of EPs and coherent full length over the last decade. Unlike many of his underground peers, Delta isn’t too serious and likes to have fun when DJing, so can go hard and fast or deep and warm according to the context. He often marries analogue and digital techniques in his work, takes cues from traditional hotbeds like Detroit and Chicago, but always comes correct with his own unique perspectives.  

Across the course of 75 absorbingly sci-fi minutes, the Dutchman cooks up a cinematic ride through deep space atmospherics, electronic funk and slick electro. The latter half grows more disturbed and dystopian, but there is always a very real and metallic aesthetic to the seamlessly segued sounds that ties the whole thing together with real narrative.
