Born out of the unexpected downtime of lockdown, Killa Kollective emerged as a creative outlet for producers with too much time on their hands and too many ideas to keep to themselves. As the world hit pause, we hit the studio, connecting with like-minded artists from the Serial Killaz camp to craft collaborative projects that might never have happened otherwise.

Now for the latest release on the label we take it back to where it all began. Fast rising producer and label cohort Zapya steps up to remix "Drop It!", the inaugural release from Killa Kollective, originally crafted by Upgrade & Serial Killaz. A fresh twist on a dancefloor destroyer, this rework plunges even deeper into the dark, rolling energy of the original, delivering a heavyweight refit designed to shake foundations and mash up the dance.

Drop It (Zapya Remix)

Brazilian drum & bass powerhouse Jam Thieves returns with a heavyweight two-track EP on Serial Killaz Recordings, blending classic influences with cutting-edge production. Skynet is a deep, rolling homage to the golden era of V Recordings, channeling the bass-driven funk of producers like DJ Die and Roni Size, wrapped in Jam Thieves’ signature minimalist menace. The track’s hypnotic groove and crisp drum programming pull listeners into a cybernetic dreamscape, where old-school soul meets future-tech precision.

Flipping the script, Botswana is a full-throttle jump-up assault, built for dancefloor mayhem. Pummeling basslines and razor-sharp percussion drive this one forward, with a relentless energy that nods to the raw, no-nonsense sound that defines Serial Killaz Recordings. From jungle heritage to contemporary firepower, this EP proves once again that Jam Thieves is a master of both depth and dancefloor destruction.

The duo teams up with Bristol-based dancehall artist Mad Sam for a full-powered salute to the time-honored ritual of firing up the herb. Built around the title track “Fat Spliff,” this high-grade drum & bass anthem sees Mad Sam deliver his verses in his trademark gravel-lined tone that rumbles like distant thunder, while Serial Killaz unleash their signature breakbeat carnage. If you’ve ever felt the bass hit just right while exhaling a cloud into the night sky, this one’s for you.

Next, "Big Bombaclart" cranks up the pressure, bringing in rising Durham based producer Leon for a stomping, sonic assault that packs enough weight to shake up the session—whether you're deep in the dance or posted up with the crew. Both vocal tracks are backed by their instrumental versions, giving DJs and MCs the tools to spark their own fire.
