„You can't say Shuray without saying Walle. As one of Leipzig's DJ teams of the moment, they play by merging into a synergistic unit with four arms, four ears, and two hearts. Their first joint release "International Licence" on Filburt's label O*RS sounds accordingly pleasantly balanced and mature. The two Distillery residents focus on a music genre that has unfortunately and unjustly received less attention lately: Deep House. The three original tracks are universally applicable due to their stripped-down, Detroit-inspired timeless sound. From the most underrated slot of the DJ craft, the warm-up, to the early morning hours: The 909's spellbinding, pumping force will do its job. On the remix duties is highly talented Lea Lisa from the Wolf Music fame. For her 303 Mental Remix she adds an irresistible acid bassline (quelle surprise) and creates probably the most peak time-affine tune of the whole EP. Shuray & Walles first extended player is a perfect example for reduced but clever arrangements and above all for the fact that the best ship is friendship.“

Next up on the bill we have one of Belgium’s finest exports to the European House scene, combining his background of jazz, boogie, disco and hip hop to deservedly earn the title as a rising name in house production, it’s the superb Ricky Razu 

His releases on Houseum and Happiness Therapy have provided a collection of well-respected club bangers with a distinct influence of classic house over the top. Head banging bassy beats, tasty piano lines and a whole range of percussive layers are a commonplace in Ricky’s back catalogue as well as a permanent feature of his sets.
For us he’s compiled some rare vinyl finds, odes to classic house and a brief overview of the housey influences that make him the delightful powerhouse he is today.  

With an album on the way and a parade of summer dates, it’s only onwards and upwards for Ricky, get this one on repeat, pour a drink on the rocks and spoil yourself to this mix x

PREMIERE: Komartsov - Time Travel [Novaj 新し Records]

Aurore 404 is back with the 2nd Volume of Cut A Rug, a series dedicated to dance numbers and relentless groovers. All 6 pieces are composed by french artists, their genre oscillating between house, deep house and italo disco. Noise Ark and Chouba are kicking off the release with great house tunes both based on steady groovy basslines. Then, Doublure, with his mesmerizing synth and out of space arpeggiator, smoothly bridges the first and the latter part of the EP.

NairLess takes over to do what he does best: some funky drums and a catchy melody dancing around a solid Morodesque bassline sequence. Then comes S.R who cooked an epic italo burner with a strong old school vibe built around playful synths answering each other - we cannot wait to blast this one on dancefloors, once they reopen.

To end this chapter, Vanderkraft dusts off the Delorean with his spacey ‘Antépénultième’, filled with transporting melodies, bouncing drums and some 303 funkiness to top it all off.
