The Doctor is in, and the procedure is about to begin. 🩺 Welcome to the laboratory of OZONE, a sterile, forgotten chamber where sound is dissected, analyzed, and reanimated. Dressed in a stained lab coat, with hair the color of chemical reactions, she is a surgeon of sonics, a scientist of rhythm. Her tools are not scalpels and saws, but faders and jog wheels. Her experiment: to locate the soul within the soundwave and bring it to life.

The room is cold and clinical, a relic from a time of crude medical procedures. The tiled walls have seen things you can only imagine, and the air still holds the metallic tang of fear. But tonight, a new kind of operation is taking place. OZONE stands over her decks with the precision and focus of a surgeon. Her hands move with steady, practiced grace, making incisions into the silence, grafting beats together, and transplanting melodies. 🧪 This is not a performance; it is a clinical trial.

The music is as precise and unnerving as the environment. It's a form of industrial techno that is both minimalist and complex. You'll hear the clean, sharp cuts of a scalpel in the hi-hats, the steady, rhythmic beep of a heart monitor in the kick drum, and the chilling hum of life-support machines in the ambient drones. 🔬 This is a deep exploration of the anatomy of a beat, stripping it down to its bare essentials and then building it back up into something new, something monstrously beautiful.

You are not a patient, but a test subject, willingly submitting yourself to this auditory experiment. Let her rewire your neural pathways and recalibrate your senses. Acclaimed techno, dub and atmospheric craftsmen Voices From the Lake, aka Italians Donato Dozzy and Neel, are starting their own new label, Spazio Disponible. 

The label will start with a release from Voices From The Lake in March 2016, then a solo EP from Dozzy in May, but will be about much more than just putting out 12"s: it is a conceptual idea that will see friends of the duo release music, but will also be accompanied by a quarterly party at Goa in Rome. The first one will be March 18th where Donato and Giuseppe will play all night long with a close musical friend. 

More than that, though, the artists playing will be in the studio the whole week running up to the night, jamming and preparing music for the night and potentially producing a record that will later be put out on the label. The setup at Goa will be a hybrid of machines, live gear and DJ equipment that will allow for fluid transitions between each as the party unfolds. Essentially each event will be one big jam that features artists joining in and dipping out at will. Line-ups won't be announced for any of the nights, with the whole thing paying heed of the title, Spazio Disponibile. 

As for the first release, it features three tracks of absorbing and hypnotic deep techno that sucks you deep down into an organic world of super smooth sound. Subtly filled in with pixel thin synths, trance inducing bleeps or spaced out pads, it offers a fine taster of what to expect from Spazio Disponibile both on record and in the club.

@EtappKyle’s first full Ostgut Ton EP release sees the Ukrainian-born, Berlin-based Berghain resident emphasizing the connection between spaces, while avoiding Techno’s overt intergalactic clichés. By partially linking to his ‘Continuum EP’ (Unterton, 2016), the results are four tracks of pristine, sci-fi minimalism, propelled by Ambient synths and percussive explosions in distant skies – more utopian than dystopian.
