In 2015 the three founding members of Serpentfoot summoned the untethered spirit of surf and garage rock in a flurry of DIY shows and irrepressible creativity. They quickly drew a rowdy following of listeners from all walks of life. Anyone who enjoyed the disjointed and obviously unstable nature of the wild and unruly live shows found a new home in the band. Ratty garage surf punk soon gave way to massive fuzz laden riffs and dripping psychedelic sound-scapes, burning the band solidly into the DNA of Colorado psych rock. 

Serpentfoot continues to evolve but the ever-dancing internal energy remains unphased. Frontman Jordan Twiggs regales showgoers in a ceremonial manner, directing the flow of each gathering with an other-worldy aura. With what has been described as a goblin-like voice he never hesitates to raise a toast mid-set (or even mid song), resulting in a strangely casual and raucous religious party experience. Drummer Michael Ross and Bassist Philip Shellabarger fill the venue with purely contagious and trance-like energy, leaving no square foot of stage or sonic space untouched. In an age of easy listening and electronic DJ sets, Serpentfoot’s unrepentant and unpolished approach to hard-hitting and life-changing rock and roll is a much needed slap in the face. 

Fans of bands like Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall, and King Gizzard will rejoice as another crew of rambunctious rockers with a flair for the psychedelic join the movement.
