In contradiction to only the darkness you've seen before you, the environment slowly fades into a place you can only recognize as...

"What a surprise. Hotel Shad. The place you spend nearly all your time. What so specifically happened there, you ask. Well, to restate, you know all too well.
Wait. You had a basement? What's down there? A good amount of useless junk and stuff. But one thing in familiar you spotted that fateful day. That's right, a cloning machine. How conveniently eventful! 
So.. what's the first thing you decide to do with it once you find it? The answer: Play with it. See how well that thing really works. You may know what happens next. Blah, blah, cliché production error, you messed up. Ta-da! You've just created a clone of yourself! One that certainly wasn't like you.
But.. the clone's creation is not what sparked today's events.

Everything goes completely dark again. And silent. In the flash of an instant, you finally see him. It's like looking in a mirror. Only the mirror was dirty and possessed by.. something.

"Oh, and why SHOULDN'T I just kill you right here?" he says.
You grow a slight bit nervous.
"..."
"Then so be it."
He backs up, his eyes glowing like a car's headlights in a thunderstorm.
"We'll duke it out. You win, I go away. You lose.. heh.
Let's just say.. I have a few plans."

This worries you, although what happens next only adds on to your worry. You're now trapped in what seems to be a sturdy cage of vines. Grabbing onto the bars of the cage is your next resort, despite that not helping in the slightest. 
"This time, you won't prevail. And with what the future holds for you, the world will truly know the name, 'Bad Shad.'"
Afterwards, you can feel doom overcoming the environment. For what seemed like the first time, anxiety grips you tightly. As far as your eyesight goes, there's no one to free you from this newfound prison.
