Theresa (DJ) Serrian, founder and curator of Jamais Vu, has now emerged as a DJ in her own right.

Jamais Vu (the opposite of deja vu) because you've never seen a party like it before. Roving around Brooklyn, supporting local talent, and the desire to dance. NYC's intimate party series has hosted residencies at nearly a dozen venues, and showcased over a hundred DJs. 

Going on its eighth year, the Jamais Vu vibe adheres to what it was founded upon. Accessible, inclusive, free to cheap entry, and dynamic bookings of fresh talented faces as well as veteran homages.

Inspired by the genre-crossing sounds of Jamais Vu showcases (as well as the other incredible new york city-based labels/parties/collectives she has worked with and promoted for over the past twelve years) Serrian is drawn continuously to house and techno music, the vibrancy of Detroit and Chicago, and invested in exploring the history of it all - from disco to funk, minimal to deep house, whatever groove that makes you shake without realizing, that's what she's after.
