UK DJ and production duo Peverell have been contributing to the dance music scene since the late 1990's. They have released over 50 tracks and remixes on labels such as Let There Be House, Phoenix Music, Love To Be, Jango Music and more. Brighton's Kuuda are a talented dance music collective, comprised of 3 producer/songwriter/vocalists, Charlie, Maeve and Ollie. All from different musical backgrounds, Kuuda encompass a style that can range from Progressive/Afro to Jackin House to Emotive Breakbeat in both production and lead vocals. They have been making big waves on the scene with collaborations with Franky Wah, Hot Since 82, KeeQ, Artche, Sam Divine, James Organ on both Shèn Recordings and BLOND:ISH’s imprint Abracadabra. Their recent single with Hot Since 82, ‘ALIVE’, gained BBCR1 support from Pete Tong and Danny Howard. Kuuda have lots of exciting new music in the pipeline including releases on Crosstown Rebels and Let There Be House.
With over 20 years of dedication to the global electronic music scene, Yousef's contribution can’t be over exaggerated and he is considered one of the best, most skilful and most respected UK DJs of all time. To do a bird's portrait
First paint a cage
with an open door
then paint
something nice
something simple
something beautiful
something useful
for the bird

Then place the canvas against a tree
in a garden
in a wood
or in a forest
hide behind the tree
without saying anything
without moving...

Sometimes the bird comes quickly
but it may as well take many years
before deciding

Do not be discouraged
wait
wait if necessary for years
the speed or slowness of the arrival
of the unrelated bird
with the success of the painting

When the bird arrives
if he arrives
observe the deepest silence
wait for the bird to enter the cage
and when he entered
gently close the door with the brush
then
to erase the bars one by one
and taking care not to touch any of the bird's feathers
then do the portrait of the tree
by choosing the most beautiful of its branches
for the bird
paint also the green leaves and the freshness of the wind
the dust of the sun
and the sound of the beasts of the grass in the heat of summer
and then wait until the bird decides to sing

If the bird doesn't sing
it's a bad sign
but if he sings it's a good sign
sign you can sign
then you tear away very slowly
one of the bird's feathers
and you write your name in a corner of the painting.

Peindre d'abord une cage
avec une porte ouverte
peindre ensuite
quelque chose de joli
quelque chose de simple
quelque chose de beau
quelque chose d'utile
pour l'oiseau

Placer ensuite la toile contre un arbre
dans un jardin
dans un bois
ou dans une forêt
se cacher derrière l'arbre
sans rien dire
sans bouger...

Parfois l'oiseau arrive vite
mais il peut aussi bien mettre de longues années
avant de se décider

Ne pas se décourager
attendre
attendre s'il le faut pendant des années
la vitesse ou la lenteur de l'arrivée
de l'oiseau n'ayant aucun rapport
avec la réussite du tableau

Quand l'oiseau arrive
s'il arrive
observer le plus profond silence
attendre que l'oiseau entre dans la cage
et quand il est entré
fermer doucement la porte avec le pinceau
puis
effacer un à un les barreaux
et ayant soin de ne toucher aucune des plumes del'oiseau
faire ensuite le portrait de l'arbre
en choisissant la plus belle de ses branches
pour l'oiseau
peindre aussi le vert feuillage et la fraîcheur du vent
la poussière du soleil
et le bruit des bêtes de l'herbe dans la chaleur de l'été
et puis attendre que l'oiseau se décide à chanter

Si l'oiseau ne chante pas
c'est mauvais signe
mais s'il chante c'est bon signe
signe que vous pouvez signer
alors vous arrachez tout doucement
une des plumes de l'oiseau
et vous écrivez votre nom dans un coin du tableau.
