BOGOTÁ AND VILLAVICENCIO
Bogotá is larger than Villavicencio in terms of population and area, but the founding of Villavicencio is more recent. Villavicencio was founded on April 6, 1840, while Bogotá was founded on August 6, 1538. Bogotá has more spectacular parks than Villavicencio for sports, exercise or cycling. But Villavicencio has more natural parks where people can relax and walk outdoors, normally this city is known as “The Gate of the Colombian plains.” Villavicencio is as interesting as Bogotá because both cities offer spectacular places and different cultures. But Bogotá has more universities than Villavicencio and more opportunities to work. The universities of Bogotá are better than those of Villavicencio, since they are located in the capital of Colombia. Bogotá has bigger and better shopping centers than Villavicencio. The people of Bogotá are as friendly as those of Villavicencio, but the llaneros are more helpful than the Bogotanos. Bogotá has more international restaurants than Villavicencio, where you can eat a wide variety of dishes, but Villavicencio has less pollution than Bogotá, and its rivers are cleaner and more visited. In general, they are both very good and important cities, but each one has its own advantages and disadvantages.
