Proper Villains continues to produce straight fire with a signature thumping low-end as his latest two-tracker EP 'Sound System' exudes percussive prowess, including remixes by VNSSA and Craze. 'Sound System' is a cheeky warmer with glimmering organ stabs and swirling pads spicing up the tightly wound 808s as the reggae-fueled vocal hooks carry the attitude throughout the entire tune. Following along the path of cheeky, funky soundscapes but with a darker twist is 'Ohlay Ohnay' with perfectly absurd soundscapes to rile up any dance floor. VNSSA lays down nice breaks across 'Sound System' as retro-inspired beats dance and sway around the filtered vocal cuts. Playing up the vocals and speeding up the programming, Craze lays down a nasty jungle rework with a seriously fat low-end.
