It’s a live recording at one of my favorite clubs, what a night that was: hot, sleazy and an open mic. We both Dj and at some point Quarion plays live. Big thanks to Marcoti a.k.a Entlet who recorded this!

Mixtape Summer 2024

Just unearthing this mixtape. Some all time favorite songs, we found digging around the world. A few of those inspired us during the sessions for "low key, low pressure".
Our good friend El Capistan is lending a hand to blend these and making that live Brenda Russel edit work. Of course Bo Hanson (whose covers inspired the LP artwork) and Jan Akkermann aren't missing.

Luca Roccatagliati, better known as DJ Rocca, is a genre-defying Italian DJ and producer whose music fuses jazz, funk, disco, house, and italo with an analog, hands-on approach. A classically trained flutist from Reggio Emilia, Rocca began his journey in the late ’90s as Maffia Soundsystem, building his reputation through breakbeat and drum & bass.

Over the years, Rocca has collaborated with international icons like Dimitri From Paris, Daniele Baldelli, and Howie B, and formed projects like Ajello, Crimea X, Supersonic Lovers, and Electric Tree. His rich sound has found a home on prestigious labels including Compost, !K7, Gomma, Rekids, and Futureboogie.

Known for championing analog gear, Rocca emphasizes human touch in his music-crafting soulful, danceable tracks. He also runs his own label, Danny Was A Drag King, curating eclectic electronic artists.

With performances at Fabric, Berghain, and festivals like Sonar and Glastonbury, Luca remains a revered figure in electronic music. His recent projects, like Roccapofortuna with Capofortuna, the EP Code 041 and the album CocoRocca Discoteca, show his commitment to pushing boundaries while honoring the roots of dance music.

Session Victim need little introduction - the German duo of Hauke Freer and Matthias Reiling have been consistent providers of quality house grooves, vinyl only DJ sets (the best, obviously) and hardware only live shows.  Their current EP trilogy for Jimpster's Delusions of Grandeur label is a prime example, with Ian Pooley and Jimpster providing remixes and the likes of Nebraska, Eo and Viken Arman collaborating on the originals.  Here, the pair celebrate the series with a special mixtape...
