Lopezhouse and Paul Deep unite for 'Black Rocket / Deep Eyes', the debut release on JINBU, Renaissance’s new sister label dedicated to the progressive side of electronic music.

Born from a friendship forged in Buenos Aires, the release captures the spark of collaboration at its most inspired. 'Black Rocket', named by Lopezhouse’s daughter, feels both personal and universal, while its 'Breaks Mix' reveals a striking electronica twist. 'Deep Eyes' rounds off the record with an uplifting finish that lingers long after the final beat.

Between them, Lopezhouse and Paul Deep boast releases on Bedrock, Diynamic, SUDBEAT and Plattenbank, with support from the likes of John Digweed, Solomun and Hernan Cattaneo. Together they set the tone for JINBU, a label born to champion the ever-evolving spirit of modern progressive music.

Fractious and Frank Arvonio make their OFF Recordings debut with a super-functional 2-tracker. "Eterea" kicks the EP off with a deep and toolish groove layered with a spacy synth line, building towards an epic break.
"The Phantom Zone" uses similar ingredients, but takes things further towards a trancy direction.

Rebūke returns to Drumcode with a trio of timeless dancefloor weapons.

The Irishman’s ‘Rattle’ was a standout of 2019, judged by DJ Mag as their no.22 top track of the year and is etched in the Drumcode discography as one of the most original releases to date. A valued part of Adam Beyer’s extended collective; he would have made his Drumcode event debut at WMC in Miami this March. Without a doubt, a sophomore EP was always on the cards.

‘Instatik’ kicks the work into gear, a rugged, reverb-heavy cut with industrial drums that pump like pistons and an undulating synth effect that makes you feel like you’re on a turbo-charged rollercoaster. ‘Livewire’ has the trademark Rebūke brain-scrambling stamp on it, a flurry of steelyard percussion bring the track to life, before a low-end melody swells to attention, rubbing shoulders deliciously with driving drumlines, for an uplifting second half. The title track ‘Obscurity’ is a dark slice of techno funk, filled with synapse-tickling arpeggios, before a rollicking groove takes hold and launches the track home at full-flight. Another thrilling and innovative release to add to the Rebūke canon.

“I think 2020 will go down in history as the craziest year of our lifetime. The future is still pretty unknown right now and things are drastically changing week to week. With that in mind, I felt ‘Obscurity’ would be a fitting title for my second Drumcode EP. It represents the state of being unknown, unclear or difficult to understand – feelings I’m sure most of us are going through right now.  Most the tracks aside from ‘Livewire’ were written in quarantine; ‘Livewire’ was written right before the virus shut the world down, in a hotel room in Lima, Peru in January. This EP is my favourite to date as I think it shows a different side to my musical palette, whilst still developing the signature sound heard in all my music.” - Rebūke

September the 25th meets lady boss of Set About Music back on the label!

In 2015, she launched her own label 'Set About' in partnership with Metodi Hristov. Though it's only a few years old, Set About is already touted as one of the most highly respected labels in techno, releasing artists like GusGus, Hatzler, Teenage Mutants and Maksim Dark. The label has given her a platform not only to release her own music, but to share that platform with techno artists that she's passionate about from all over the world. 

Gallya's breakthrough moment in 2016 was her nomination of Beatport's Top Tech House Artist. By releasing a slew of highly successful EPs on labels like Set About, Off Recordings, Kinetika, Deeperfect, and El Row Records, she broke through noise and placed herself at the forefront of mind-bending techno and dark, driving tech-house. Through label showcases in South America and Europe, Gallya was able to take her talents on the road to build a strong, international fan-base. 

Her evolution into a well-respected and sought after techno act continued through 2017, as she dropped EPs like Detroit, Felicity, and Control on Set About, Funk'n Deep Records and Say What? Records respectively. Each EP carved the way for an even bigger, more distinctive sound. 

The title track of her March 2017 EP Machines broke the Beatport Techno Top 100, peaking at #16, and remained in the charts for an entire month. 'Machines' gained the support of top techno DJs including Deadmau5 who played it in BBC Radio One residency, which led to Gallya signing to his label mau5trap for several 2018 releases. 

Along with the popularity of 'Machines' in the DJ world, it was also picked up for a scene in a major movie - this opportunity fueled Gallya inspiration to work on some longer-term production goals of scoring horror movies. 

Through continued growth in 2018, Gallya hopes to push her boundaries even further through both music and touring worldwide. With her debut mau5trap EP, a collaboration with Juliet Fox on Set About, and an EP with Metodi Hristov on Octopus Recordings already under her belt, she continues to be one of the hardest working, most prolific and promising sounds in techno.
