Kuukou Records is the 'Techno for Techno' project run by Romanian born DJ Simina Grigoriu. The core ethos of the project is to provide an outlet for bold, armoured Techno that carries weight and depth in equal measures. Previous releases have come from myriad nations with the next in line coming from Italian producer Sisko Electrofanatik.
Sisko is an artist who has truly earned his stripes. He's held down multiple residencies over the years, earned several accolades including Best Techno Producer at the Dance Music Awards, Italy and runs his own imprint GAIN Records. Throughout an illustrious career he's continued to hone his skills and refine his craft and his latest offering for Kuukou evinces this.
A well balanced kick, fierce FX and jagged blobs of acid roll out while a trippy vocal is steadily filtered into focus. Percussion and filters are cleverly handled throughout in order to generate unrelenting energy in a track that will neatly slot into many DJ sets keeping tension on the dance-floor percolating.

Victor Ruiz's VOLTA continues its prominence with another emphatic techno offering, providing the platform for a head-turning label debut from rising Brazilian starlet Lutgens as he delivers his "Fenix" EP with full force this September. Following releases on Panterre Musique, Prototype Music, IAMT and several others, Lutgens steps out of the studio with another undeniably potent package, spanning two hypnotic peak-time jams that showcase the full depth of his production skills. Kicking off with the title cut "Fenix," Lutgens wastes no time unloading that distinct ethereal-laced sound VOLTA is becoming synonymous with. Pulsating grooves, rippling low-frequency rumble, and rising musical resonance are all at play here, facilitating an expanding ebb and flow filled with atmospheric crescendos and deep-plunging breaks - hard-hitting interplanetary techno at its absolute finest yet again. "Sinistro" brings the release to a head with another firm hand strike.
