687: Especially when you don't feel like it

It was a hot yoga workout kind of day, and while sweat was dripping off of every part of my body, I made the realization that the normal or natural part in us wants to look for the easy way out, but we will never get better that way.
Expansion only comes when facing something that we find difficult, so we might a well smile and enjoy the journey.
Happiness is a frame of mind, not a consequence of when everything is going perfectly, especially in regards to money.
Whether you have lots of money or you don't (I've been in both circumstances), it's about enjoying what you have in the present moment. Happiness is a choice.
Selfishness was never happiness, so even though it's an internal journey, external acts of service bring experiences.
Choose happiness today, like in The Happiness Advantage. You choose happiness because it's the path, not the end result of a journey.
Wanting can be very degrading. The key to happiness is appreciation and gratitude, no matter what stage you're in. There's nothing wrong with wanting more, but you need to choose to be in your current state to enjoy the present journey.
You don't need to wait to be happy; you can choose to be happy today.
Ask yourself:
* Am I happy with my current&nbsp;state of being?&nbsp;
* What can I do to focus more on enjoying the journey?
* What would it take to be happy in going through my experiences?&nbsp;
If you want something more, set the goal and then go get it. Most times the greatest rewards occur in the preparation which you can best use by enjoying the process.

70 Enjoy The Journey

This is Principle #11 from my 13 principles I provide here on my website. The reason I started this podcast was because I HAVE A MESSAGE INSIDE OF ME that needed to be shared. You can create what you want to create if you hone in on our assets. Everyone says that it takes money to make money, but I'm here to tell you that that's not entirely true. Oh, it definitely helps, but there are 4 other capitals that create financial capital. When you get REALLY good at these capitals, you'll become really good at financial gain as well:  Social Mental/Intellectual Spiritual Action  Social Capital: People matter. They are assets and every dollar made comes from someone else's bank account, and the only way that a business, no matter how big or small, is able to function is through its employees.&nbsp; Your net worth is in direct connection to &nbsp;your network.&nbsp; What you know is important, but WHO you know creates connections and networks for financial capital. Mental/Intellectual Capital: This is your thought process and ideas in how you see the world. It's very much on an individual level. Spiritual Capital: These are your natural, divine gifts, as I've talked about in a past episode. Have you discovered and honed in on how to utilize these. I have unique gifts for speaking and commanding a room, so I'm able to utilize these gifts in a way that brings financial gain as well. These are your stone-cold killer instincts within you to win. Action Capital: Until you put action into the mix, it doesn't matter if you believe in the law of attraction and think about positive things; it will not come if you do not DO. It's doing what's required and what you said you would do, despite emotions, feelings, and moods.&nbsp; This is the fuel of everything. 121 Human Capital Produces Financial Capital

Kobe Bryant just retired, and love him or hate him, the man has had an illustrious career.
Growing up in Utah, I hated any other teams that were not the Utah Jazz, especially Jordan and the Bulls. I hated him because he was SO good, and it wasn't until he retired that I was able to appreciate how amazing of a basketball player he was.
I learned from that in how I looked at Kobe Bryant. He knew what it was that he wanted from the beginning, driven by his clarity.
He&nbsp;started his career with the potential to be good, sitting on the bench, saying to Shaquille O'Neal, "I&nbsp;will&nbsp;be the best."
There's no middle ground with &nbsp;Kobe; either he's loved OR hated.
This guy has the most insane work ethic, which is why his body is so beat up. He trained and trained and trained to become the best.
Instead of hating on a man that's great in his craft, what example could you learn from him? Just like I mentioned in the Dark Warrior episode, Kobe embraced the hate and let it fuel him as The Black Mamba, a Dark Warrior that would work through being scrutinized in the public eye.

"Smooth oceans don't make great sailors" &nbsp; The time is now to step up and lead. &nbsp; Prosperity is a choice &nbsp; What will you do with your time today? Will you sit back? Will you just be a victim of what's going on? Or will you take this time to utilize and maximize it so you can come out ahead in every crisis. Don't be overly optimistic, make strategic moves. Be realistic not overly optimistic. &nbsp; Ask yourself: Are you built for this? and if not, will you begin today to build your life? will you begin today to stop being a victim? will you begin today to choose and to make choices based upon the future that you want? Choose to create value for people. This is our time.  &nbsp;

You have to learn to hate the thing that you don't want. There's the pain of discipline and there's the pain of regret. Do you detest mediocrity?  Ask yourself:  *Do you hate it bad enough to change? *Are you willing to pay the price for growth? Do you really love what you're doing? Do you really love your life? Are you really happy? Wake up.
