What a crazy weekend, flashed, sleepless, euphoric, nostalgic. Thanks so much for dancing with me, it was a huge honour closing the night on Sunday Morning on the impressive Tanzwüste stage at Fusion and introducing you guys to the daylight ♥️

When I got the offer for the 4:30 playtime I was shaking in the beginning because I expected the night to be super dark and clubby, wondering how my dreamy sound could compete with the powerful sets. A few hours before my gig I started to realize that it's starting to get bright at 4:00 already so I quickly adjusted my set, not finishing with a climax like typical but rather getting dreamy and moody towards the end, leaving some space for daylight feelings :)

While the place itself has surely changed over the years, what remains unrivalled is the energy of its crowd and its lust for excess. So what better way to kick of 2020 than with a healthy dose of early evening gymnastics at 7pm? Thank you for that insane energy, especially in the final hour..

PS: See if you can spot the moment where I mistook a low- for a high-pass filter, just to then do it again shortly after, the other way round, and then out of nervousness casually drop the volume fader to 50%. :>

A New Years Eve in Sisyphos, 04.01.2020

The past weeks showed vividly that whether we wanted it or not, we are part of something bigger than ourselves, be it a family or a community, some global ideas or plans, a continent or a constellation. Doesn’t really matter what we are part of, what matters is that we need each other. Maybe once these days are gone, such feelings will go away too, but we’ll know we’ll be needing each other someday somehow. @elias-dore’s podcast is part of that syndrome. A lot of people teamed up to make stuff happen, so that you could listen to the mix, and once you do, you automatically join the list of those suffering from the syndrome. You are definitely a part of this project, and that is very important.

This week we are honoured to have Marcus Meinhardt for flow sessions 009. The Berlin veteran delivers a energy packed deep house and techno set that has serious weight. Thank you Marcus for joining us and for those listening in, thanks for being back. Buckle in, more next Friday.

Marcus Meinhardt was already in touch with music in his early youth. No later than the beginnings of the 90's, when techno started to establish in the german clubs, his passion for electronic music was lid and it became an elementary component of his life.
It was then, when the autodeduct turned to an activist. As MUNA and later as a member of the SMS Team, he managed to enlarge his know-how in the domain of spinning records. Soon own ideas and projects followed- some finding their way into the capital: Heimspiel, Vereinshaus, Micasa and last but not least his own event alignment- the successful Home-Sweet-Home which provided him an important platform for a musically free expansion, ever since enjoying a steady growing popularity. Due to his driving sets, Marcus Meinhardt- the Berlin boy by choice- achieved more and more appreciation- enjoying success as a dj in almost all leading clubs and established festivals in Europe.
With the production of his own tracks he bringed from a dj to a self made music producer- releasing his first EP in 2004. 
Together with his friends and colleagues Marco Resmann and Hawks Grunert, he launches his own Label: Upon You Records on January 1'st 2007. Here he is enlarging his career as a musician even further. Since then he is providing a playground of the special kind for his label artists, musicians, music colleagues and friends- nationally and internationally.

Often it's those who enter the scene from a different background who take the evolution of music to the next level. Instead of suffering from tunnel vision they are full of open-minded curiosity. Seth Schwarz is one of them. His powerful productions meet the expectations of the dance floor, but at the same time they break the circle of imitation and repetition. Seth dedicated a great part of his youth to classical music. By merging the concepts of electronic music and classic composition he creates mighty bangers of truly symphonic dimensions. It's not unusual for him to record up to 70 instrumental tracks for a new production. The result is extremely catchy and has a unique feeling of flow elegance.
