This is my awful attempt at a remix of X Japan's IV. XD

IV (X Japan) Heartbeat Remix

Three different edits of the US Emergency Alert System tone mixed with Ableton Live's stock Dubstep Burial loop, itself edited and effected. 

The Emergency Beat

So when I was doing vocal edits for the Lost Dream remix of Clarity (you can find that as the song before this), I realized an effect I tried made the vocals sound like a deathcore singer and the song have an entirely different vibe. So for fun, I decided to run with it and make an intentionally crappy/trashed electronic deathcore song. Spot the things I've done wrong on purpose! ;)

For the hottest day of the year in LA (or what feels like it), some chillwave inspired by old weather channel forecast music. 

I Left The Weather Channel On

I'm still working on the remix of the laxative commercial, but I thought I'd do this in the meantime, to show off what I can do with my Akai controller that I got for the holidays. And because I love doing dark, foreboding pieces and fusions of metal/visual with electronic.

The Vomiting Hive We Call Home

NO this is not what you are thinking. The song title is short for "Black Hole," as it's a reference to the three black MIDIs that are in this song, and to the old video game trope of limited name space leading to things like a Titanium Sword being called a TIT SWD or a White Antler being a W.Ant. 

See if you can spot them...

B.Hole

I decided to try a little something uptempo/faster and I like it. If you can guess the two musicians the title refers to you win a cookie.

Stardust Eyes

Inspired by those games where you hear your character's life meter running out... a dark electronic rock track with elements of ambient and trance. 

Life Meter

This is a remix of two different anti-drug PSAs:

"Drugs Drugs Drugs," in two versions (one reversed and one not) stretched out and edited to make the voices the beat and overlaid with effects makes two of the loops used:

"This is your brain on drugs" is the other.

These are mixed with my beat work + an edited, effected stock house loop from Ableton Live.

Don't do drugs (irresponsibly, anyway ;) otherwise have fun).

Changes made: 
BPM dropped to 58, time cut to 4:20 because full version was too much for my limited soundcloud space for now. 

Pulled harmony, melody, drums, converted those to MIDI, changed the MIDI instruments playing them and added effects, duplicated the drum track and reversed one of the duplicates, changed the drum samplers.

Remastered with full chain master.



Speed - Mumiy Troll (Мумий Тролль)(Banned Troll Remix)

A remix of X Japan's "Orgasm" to make it even more hardcore.

Repitched and slowed beat, and repitched Toshi's voice to a lower vocal tone
Added punch to Yoshiki's drums and messed with the gain settings in EQ
Made a couple other small changes that had a really big effect

I currently am a sound manipulation/experimental electronic/improvisational producer using Ableton Live 9 and an Akai 25key. I used to sing a little.  Genres: all over the place, but vaporwave, experimental, dark synth, spacewave, neofuture, more.  NO FASHWAVE. (antifascist here)
