Just want to express my gratitude to Agnes. The song "Familiar" is one of my favourite songs of all time. It has really helped conduit to my inner feminine and connected 
me on an emotional, somatic and spiritual level for many years. Agnes' musical works
have always been a quite visceral journey for me.
I myself being a drum and bass producer, wanted to encapsulate this feeling of 
deep sentimentality and spin it within the flow of my own creativity. My intention with
music is to create a bridge between the harder grittier aspects of certain genres 
and aggregate the softer more gentle side. Which for me means a symbiotic coalescence of masculine and feminine energies.

Thanks always to Hitoshi Yasui for his daily musical watercolors and for helping us to adapt these songs. I love the additional colors Guillaume Pearson brought to this one with his string orchestral arrangement. It seems to underscore a feeling of optimistic melancholy that abounds now on day 45 of quarantine here in San Francisco. Happy to have beautiful music that can momentarily assuage feelings of exile and separation. Hope this can provide the same for others who are in the same situation. Stay safe, stay creative and play on.

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings is a 1969 autobiography describing the early years of American writer and poet Maya Angelou. The first in a seven-volume series, it is a coming-of-age story that illustrates how strength of character and a love of literature can help overcome racism and trauma.

It’s my tune and arrangement but it’s sung beautifully by Nat Daniels - thanks so much Nat - beautiful vocal.

This is a short version of my track on a free Bandcamp downloadable album: AEMC5. It's a group piece arranged by me for the Ambient And Experimental Community group on Facebook. Members upload samples, then contributors arrange them and mess with them in their own fashion. This short version was my intended version for that album. I uploaded a much longer, work-in-progress version in error! Feel free to skip over it if you listen to AEMC5. The rest of AEMC5 is magnificent. 

My title refers to the the 22 contributors, (I took a second of each contribution, doubling up some) and after mixing and arranging, ended up with a 36 second composition. The track on the album is 3 minutes + .
