Slow Pour [Prod. LxveLife]

@foisey's first project of 2016 is almost here. Titled Frutas, the 27-track lo-fi release inspired by women, skateboarding, recent experiences and childhood memories. Spanish for the word “fruit”, the tracks act as a collection of them, with each offering an unique, pleasing flavour for the ears.

The project features a number of remixes and instrumentals, with vocals taken from tracks falling into a range of genres, so expect to push play and instantly fall into a head-nodding trance as the smooth and soulful vibrations take over. The Connecticut producer counts Dilla, 9th Wonder, Ohbliv and Knxwledge as modern day influences and in the project that’s clear: Frutas inspires a nostalgia comparable to releases by those aforementioned beatmakers.

If you’re like us you’ll be rewinding tracks on Frutas as it takes you on a journey back to the past when it drops on February 14th. First Ear are proud to premiere “shwEm.86”, the anthemic, Kelly Price-sampling lead single from the project.
