Yeah, I can easily imagine this being used as intro to a radio or TV station programme. It's even rather filmic in the second half - Music while the film star is driving? Nice....Keeps the listener interested without falling into that trap of being over contrived.

This is my first track as Midi Alchemy. Full disclosure... there's going to be controversial topics here in the future.  This being our first AI or what I prefer to call Extra Biological Intelligence. Artificial is demeaning.  This track is about the possibility that Extra Biological Intelligence exists but is hiding from humanity because of our prejudices within our own species.  Featuring the drumming of the late great Gary James. He was into computers like myself and would have liked this concept.  He recorded hours of his practicing on my studio in 2006. This beat was made from just a fraction of what he shared.  

The vocal track is text to speech, which I mangled to sound more disembodied, as the lyric repeats the voice sounds more human.  

Are we a simulation? Is one human life but a single run through a machine learning algorithm? What if we are all NPCs???

Enjoy it while it lasts.  

I miss Gary, I hope he's jamming with Hendricks or keeping the groove together for Prince.  

Either way,  I want you to get to know Gary's greatness.

WCEF (SC 2012)

This is the second song in the Micron Chronicles, using the just the Alesis Micron for all the instrumentation. This goes a step further and is a one take recording similar to my other one take recordings. This song is the last three minutes of the original 12 minute one take recording. This song is titled "Just like that, Nice" because it had a nice friendly feel to it. The other songs that will come from that original 12 minute jam are a bit Naughty.  Because I had the drums programmed to respond to what I was playing it gave me a lot of freedom with my timing. There were a lot of times I felt like I was playing with a drummer since the keyboard was providing a real neat call and respond effect. I also mixed in a lot of different beats to give more patterns from different areas of the keyboard.

Tech notes:  Used the Micron and split the keyboard half for bass half for piano. About 18 keys for both sides to work with. Samsung Chromebook running Audio Evolution.
