I bow to all my teachers,
my allies, my guides
who share their gifts and wisdom
and walk with me
the stony path up to the summit.

Ayahuasca, madre,
in the longest, darkest nights
deep in the selva
you stirred the serpent
from the underworld.
You baptized me
with Fire, smoke and death.

but shaken to the marrow.

for your teachings, for your gifts,

I live now
under the crown
of the mighty Samauma,
Mother of Trees,
Mother of Life,
binding Earth and Sky
in her living spine.

Here I stay and learn
to catch the solar rays
and transmute them to matter,
to be in sacred service.

Gratitude to you, Samauma,

Weaver of Light,
that I can stay with you
And learn.

Then the puma came to me.
King of the mountains,
the path finder,
holder of Fire in heart,
bones and eyes.

My guide, my teacher
on the lonely mountain.

the fire trail

back to the valley.

I open a path 
so others can follow.
