Mia Mangata discovered her love for electronic music 17 years ago in Frankfurt am Main. In 2016, she moved to Berlin. 3 years later, after countless forays through Berlin's diverse club scene, Mia started to fill the local dance floors with her sound. Shortly after she had begun DJing, her sets were featured by "Jeden Tag ein Set". Last year, she released her first track "Irregular" together with Floordrobe. Mia Mangata’s style transcends genres and ranges from Progressive House, Melodic Techno, and Indie Dance up to Techno. Her sets, characterized by a continuous increase of intensity, are driving, melodic, and bass-heavy. They give listeners an energy boost in their legs and take them on a musical rollercoaster ride.

Set Of The Day Podcast - 75 - ARKADIUSZ.

Eigentlich war Kork schon immer ein Musiker. 
Im zarten Alter von 8 hielt er zum ersten Mal eine Violine in der Hand. 
Dieses wunderschöne Instrument sollte für 10 Jahre sein ständiger Begleiter sein. Unermüdlich wurden die Seiten gestrichen bis aus dem Katzengejaul ein ertragbarer Ton und später ein dem Ohr umschmeichelnder Ton erzeugt werden konnte.

Im Jugendlichen Alter kam dann die zweite große Liebe, die elektronische Tanzmusik dazu. Seine ersten Erfahrungen als DJ auf Geburtstagen fesselten ihn. Die Möglichkeit ein entscheidender Teil einer Party zu sein und die Stimmung von Menschen wandeln zu können ohne mit ihnen über Worte zu kommunizieren waren berauschend. Der Entschluss war gefasst, diese Leidenschaft würde die jugendliche Orientierungsphase überdauern und ein fester Bestandteil des „Ichs“ werden.

Nachdem er zunächst Progressive House gespielt hat, ließ er sich durch Konzertbesuche bei Fritz und Paul Kalkbrenner, Jan Blomqvist oder Boss Axis zum Deep House hinreißen. Jetzt wurde es Zeit dem Ganzen auch einen ordentlichen Namen zu geben und „Kork“ wurde ins Leben gerufen.
Es dauerte nicht lange, da wurde die elektronische Welt auch schon das erste Mal aufmerksam auf Kork. 
Mit seiner Premierenshow bei Soundwaveradio FM / London hat er direkt den bisherigen Zuhörerrekord des Senders überboten und 16000 Ohren erreicht. Seine Show „Travelling Abroad“ gehört mittlerweile zum festen Bestandteil des Senders.

Während seiner Show die zeitweise in über 50 Länder gleichzeitig gehört wird, wird auch musikalisch nicht auf Grenzen geachtet. 
Von Deep House über tech house bis hin zum harten Techno wird alles gespielt was frisch ist und vorantreibt. Natürlich schimmert auch immer wieder seine musikalische Anfangszeit mit dem geliebten Streichinstrument durch und verspielte melodische Einlagen finden ihren Platz in den harmonischen Sets.

2016 hat er den nächsten Schritt gewagt und ist dem jungen DJ- und Künstlerkollektiv „Deep Stories“ beigetreten, um seinen eigenen Weg nicht auf ausgetretenen Wegen gehen zu müssen. 
Man darf gespannt sein, was noch alles Geschehen wird.

Often it's those who enter the scene from a different background who take the evolution of music to the next level. Instead of suffering from tunnel vision they are full of open-minded curiosity. Seth Schwarz is one of them. His powerful productions meet the expectations of the dance floor, but at the same time they break the circle of imitation and repetition. By merging the concepts of electronic music and classic composition he creates mighty bangers of truly symphonic dimensions. Instead of being a teenage club junkie and afterhour addict, Seth dedicated a great part of his youth to classical music. That's a really good thing for his liver function, and that's an even better thing for his creative style. It's not unusual for him to record up to 70 instrumental tracks for a new production - each one hand-played, of course. Classical music composition meets the clubby bounce of a kick drum: The result is extremely catchy and has a unique feeling of flowing elegance.

If all went according to plan you wouldn’t be the least interested in this text. Indeed the story of young Velten who leaves his hometown in the Black Forest to find an orderly apprenticeship in Berlin and who grows up over time – such a story wouldn’t be very gripping. Fortunately there is a club in Berlin that is called „Ostgut“ and people like Velten who like to make irrational decisions from time to time. The outcome is foreseeable: instead of sitting in the subway on his way to work, on a Monday morning, Velten much rather joins his pals in his run down flat for an after hour. Luckily these pals not only share their passion for sheer endless nights, but also start to organise eventseries, open bars or turn a rundown Berlin backyard into a club. This is exactly the path that turned Velten within a short period of time into a DJ, producer and finally KATERMUKKE label boss DIRTY DOERING. 

In the beginning it’s more about beer and liquor. Velten trades the office-desk for the bar counter and lends the prospective Berlin Techno-celebrities a hand on their way to delirium. The fact that he regularly provides them with his own DJ-Mix tapes comes in quite handily. Back then hi sets are inspired by the same staggering hedonistic vibe, that lures more and more people into the small bar between Holzmarkt street and the bank of the Spree: Bar 25 is slowly making waves. Here, they’ve been waiting for someone like Velten. Eventually DIRTY DOERING becomes an essential part of BAR 25. The guy behind the counter turns into a resident DJ, the queue in front of the club is getting longer and longer and friends become family. Outside of Berlin DIRTY DOERING is in everyone’s ears by 2010 the latest: With „I Would“ and the fitting video, full of colourful, out of time moving people, he not only reflects the sound but primarily the lifestyle of BAR 25, to the point where the whole world wants to dance with him on the shores of the Spree river.

Since then a lot has happened: DJ Bookings from New York to Tokyo, BAR 25 has been shut down and reopened and meanwhile DIRTY DOERING has burnt down all dance floors with every new release or remix he has released. Eventually the BAR 25 era came to an end and the Kater-era started. Naturally it was Velten, who had the idea of founding the appending label KATERMUKKE. He’s been releasing music on the label ever since – no less colourful and varied than his DJ Sets. Whether it’s deep or impellent, weirdly enchanted or crystal clear – DIRTY DOERING and KATERMUKKE don’t tie themselves down but still know where the journey should go: Onwards, escaping daily routines, straight ahead into this insanely liberating feeling, where the beat means everything and the thought of the morning after counts for nothing. LOST IN MUSIC.
