Weiter geht's mit Podcast Nr. #013, den gibt's aus dem Ruhrpott von Moe & Melmixx. 

Das DJ- und Producer-Duo aus Essen spielt einen dunklen und treibenden Minimal Techno-Sound. 
Ihr Sound zeichnet sich durch dark und psychedelische Klänge aus, kombiniert mit kurzen, druckvollen Drums und rollenden Basslines. 
2014 begannen Moe & Melmixx, ihre Leidenschaft für das gemeinsame DJing zu leben, nachdem sie ihre Liebe zum Techno durch Partys entdeckt haben.

Die beiden beschlossen sie, ein Duo zu gründen, weil sie nicht nur gute Freunde waren, sondern auch den gleichen Musikgeschmack miteinander teilten. 
Das gemeinsame Musizieren fühlte sich richtig an, deshalb sind Moe & Melmixx seither immer als Team hinter den Decks zu finden.

Ihre musikalische Reise führte sie zu verschiedensten Orten im Ruhrgebiet wie der Frohnatur, dem Gracejones Club in Essen, der Druckluft in Oberhausen, der Rotunde in Bochum und der AZ in Mülheim - um nur einige zu nennen.

2015 machten die beiden ihre ersten Schritte, um ihren eigenen Sound zu produzieren und arbeiten seitdem leidenschaftlich daran, neue Musik zu kreieren. 
2019 wurde ihr erster Track auf dem Essener Label Subios Records veröffentlicht. Auf diese Weise wurde der Grundstein für weitere Veröffentlichungen gelegt.

2014 gründeten Moe & Melmixx zusammen mit einigen Freunden das Kollektiv Stumpf. 
Seitdem organisiert die Essener Crew regelmäßig verschiedenste Underground-Partys im Ruhrgebiet. Die beiden sind auch Mitbegründer der Puking Unicorns, einer Party, die seit fast drei Jahren im AZ Mülheim stattfindet. 

Alle Einnahmen der Puking Unicorns-Parteien werden für verschiedene soziale und politische Projekte gespendet, die die Crew für wichtig hält.

We welcome Moe & Melmixx on board for the next Kellercast episode.

From Essen, in Germany, Moe & Melmixx deliver a dark and minimal driving techno. Their sound is characterized by creepy, weird and psychedelic sounds, combined with short, punchy drums and straight rolling basslines. 
In 2014 they both started to live out their passion for the art of Dj’ing. They started doing it together after they discovered their love for techno though partying through the years and got to starting mixing music through some friends. The two decided to team up, not only because they were good buddies, but because their taste in music and their idea of what techno music should sound like fitted perfectly together. 
It all felt right and this is the main reason they are always playing together af a duo.

The journey in music together,  lead them to different party locations in the Ruhr-Area like the Frohnatur, the Grace Jones Club in Essen, Druckluft in Oberhausen, Rotunde in Bochum and the AZ in Mülheim - just to name a few. In 2015 the two made their first steps into producing their own music and have been working passionately in creating new music since then. 
They released their first tracks in 2019 on Subios Records and Music4Aliens. With these releases the foundation had been laid for what the future would bring and it will be interesting to see what Moe & Melmixx, will drop in the the future. 

Besides producing these guys also engage in organizing different underground events. 
Back in 2014 they founded the collective; “ Kollektiv Stumpf” in Essen with a group of friends.  Since then the crew regularly organize different underground-parties in the Ruhr Area.
