Created by David Duriez in 1999, Brique Rouge is french underground institute on a mission to keep the true spirit of House alive. Acid, Chicago and New York House, or the power of Belgian, Dutch or Detroit Techno, Brique Rouge has been churning out releases for 26 years without ever sinking into cynicism, nostalgia or parody. Open minded, Brique Rouge has established itself as a key French label for the distribution of emerging and creative artists already known or totally unknown, from all over the world, who draw their inspiration from the roots of the genre, but also pursue the search for new vibes. David Duriez is known for making House and proper underground electronic music since the beginning of the 90's - 30 years in the music industry, founder and keeper of the [briquerouge] label, home of the best french electronic renegades since 1999, David Duriez is lurking in the shadow of the french Electronic scene, keeping it real and true. Artist in various styles of music, dj and innovator, he's always in search of new ways to distribute and value Electronic Music and always a step ahead. Definitely not just one for the hype.

Since 1994, David released over a hundred records under his name, tens under various pseudonyms, outputs mainly vinyl on the most renowned labels like 2020Vision, Ovum, Systematic, Pokerflat, F Communication, Mobilee, Under the Counter, Stickman, Classic Music Company, Crosstown Rebels, The End, etc .. (the list is long, see Discogs.com to be convinced) and as many remixes for some of the greatest (think Moby, DJ Hell, Telex, Random Factor, Johnny Fiasco, Paul Johnson, Kenny Hawkes or Mr.C).

Founder of the label Brique Rouge in 1999 and a whole galaxy of other labels, he participated in the creation of internationally recognized labels such as Robsoul, Freak n'Chic or Rz Muzik. David has carved out his own niche with his pigeonhole defying Brique Rouge label, and his helping to redefine underground electronic music. Brique Rouge has released deep house, jacking house, tech-house, acid house, vocal anthems and much more... Definitely a label for open-minded people, not stuck in one genre of House.

After a solid education in multiple classical instruments and drums Matthias Schuell took an 
unlikely choice to enter the electronic scene as a producer, DJ and live act. Since January 2019 he concentrates on his more and more growing solo career. Always keeping an energetic vibe in his productions he tries out different tempos and styles and creates music with a broad portfolio of sounds and instruments. 

In his powerful live sets he uses his talent to support his music with live drums and piano elements. 

His first EP „Scarabaeus“ in June 2018 on Niconé's imprint Dantze was played by Joris Voorn, 
Artbat, Animal Picnic, Moonwalk and many more and quickly took the pole position to become the number one song of the Dantze label on Beatport. His EP „Hoodoo“ on Einmusika in May 2019 chartet in 
the Beatport Top 10 Releases in the genres „Techno“ and „Melodic House & Techno“ for several weeks. Since 2018 he holds a residency and works as the labelmanager at the Ritter Butzke Club Berlin.

Some years after his first contact with DJing, Denis can now come up with his own style. In the last few years, he has been able to develop it continuously through regular appearances in the local clubs and has also gained experience beyond the local level. The DJ and producer from Saarbruecken, who by the way has Austrian-Turkish roots, defines his sound through driving basses, often paired with emotionally charged lead sounds and catchy melodies, whereby his inclination to the dark and mystical, always has a strong influence on it. Melodic Techno is most likely to hit the spot, although he doesn't set himself any limits here either, and likes to create and combine cross-genre sounds. He says, "As long as the music touches your heart, it is perfect. Everything else is secondary." Since 2016 he has been an established member of the Techno Club "Mauerpfeiffer" in Saarbruecken, which opened in the very same year. As resident of the Mauerpfeiffer, he regularly shares the place behind the DJ desk with national and international acts and regional talents. His first releases followed in March 2016. The next releases for 2020 are already in the starting blocks. Since 2018 he is running the music label “Nala Music” with two friends, which is mostly focused in deep progressive and melodic techno.  Cooperations with other artists are currently the DJ's most important goal. He wants to "keep developing", as he says, and the best way to do this is to learn from each other. "Music is what unites us all. An incredible power. Something that even people who are otherwise different in everything else can have it in common. Music is also the ultimate constant. That's why we have such a strong, almost physical relationship to it.
