Live set recorded at Giggles in The Greenhouse at Costa Del Tottenham AKA The Cause. I had to rearrange Giggles twice due to covid regulations but we finally got there!

After a solid education in multiple classical instruments and drums Matthias Schuell took an 
unlikely choice to enter the electronic scene as a producer, DJ and live act. Since January 2019 he concentrates on his more and more growing solo career. Always keeping an energetic vibe in his productions he tries out different tempos and styles and creates music with a broad portfolio of sounds and instruments. 

In his powerful live sets he uses his talent to support his music with live drums and piano elements. 

His first EP „Scarabaeus“ in June 2018 on Niconé's imprint Dantze was played by Joris Voorn, 
Artbat, Animal Picnic, Moonwalk and many more and quickly took the pole position to become the number one song of the Dantze label on Beatport. His EP „Hoodoo“ on Einmusika in May 2019 chartet in 
the Beatport Top 10 Releases in the genres „Techno“ and „Melodic House & Techno“ for several weeks. Since 2018 he holds a residency and works as the labelmanager at the Ritter Butzke Club Berlin.

Some years after his first contact with DJing, Denis can now come up with his own style. In the last few years, he has been able to develop it continuously through regular appearances in the local clubs and has also gained experience beyond the local level. The DJ and producer from Saarbruecken, who by the way has Austrian-Turkish roots, defines his sound through driving basses, often paired with emotionally charged lead sounds and catchy melodies, whereby his inclination to the dark and mystical, always has a strong influence on it. Melodic Techno is most likely to hit the spot, although he doesn't set himself any limits here either, and likes to create and combine cross-genre sounds. He says, "As long as the music touches your heart, it is perfect. Everything else is secondary." Since 2016 he has been an established member of the Techno Club "Mauerpfeiffer" in Saarbruecken, which opened in the very same year. As resident of the Mauerpfeiffer, he regularly shares the place behind the DJ desk with national and international acts and regional talents. His first releases followed in March 2016. The next releases for 2020 are already in the starting blocks. Since 2018 he is running the music label “Nala Music” with two friends, which is mostly focused in deep progressive and melodic techno.  Cooperations with other artists are currently the DJ's most important goal. He wants to "keep developing", as he says, and the best way to do this is to learn from each other. "Music is what unites us all. An incredible power. Something that even people who are otherwise different in everything else can have it in common. Music is also the ultimate constant. That's why we have such a strong, almost physical relationship to it.

Wilde Möhre Festival turned into 5 editions of "Milde Möhre" this year. Due to the Corona situation it was limited to 1.000 people, being aware of all safety and hygiene rules. Rave safe - and we did it! Everyone respected these rules and took care of each other. And what an amazing feeling for me aswell, playing infront of a great crowd after so many months. Music can often explain feelings better than words” - something you could also say about the creative work of the Leipzig based producer. Impressed by the diversity of sounds, he started to play DJ-sets and produced his first own tracks in 2013. After exploring various styles under different pseudonyms, gradually his taste in music got shaped and led to his alias “Aio”, which was born in early 2016. His music is characterised by variable soundscapes with an eye for detail. Strong kick-bass-grooves meet melodic sketches which will move your body and let the mind flow. Releases on labels like Parquet Recodings, DENSE AUDIO and KE//ER give a hint of his versatility in sound design and got great feedback from other DJs and the crowd in the clubs. Catch him playing his live-sets, where he performs just own productions or mixing a DJ-set, telling you his stories.

Quarantäne Zeit

Mit überschlagenen Beinen liege ich auf meinem Bett. Graues Tageslicht dringt durch das geöffnete Fenster in mein Zimmer. Das Wetter passt perfekt zu meiner Stimmung, trüb, lustlos und irgendwie drückend. Seit über zwei Wochen befinde ich mich nun schon in Quarantäne. Alles ging plötzlich so schnell, dass Ergebnis kam und mit ihm die Auflagen. Hausarrest, kein Besuch und sämtliche Einkäufe über einen Lebensmittel-Lieferdienst direkt vor die Haustür. Anfangs genoss ich noch die Einsamkeit. Ich schaute viele Filme und Serien, laß endlich einen Fantasy Roman zu Ende, welchen ich vor 4 Jahren begonnen hatte und bekochte mich selbst. Doch bereits nach den ersten Woche kippte meine Stimmung. Ich fühlte mich eingeengt, wollte endlich raus und unter Menschen. Doch was mir am meisten fehlte, waren meine Familie & Freunde. Ab und an traf ich meine Liebsten zu einer Zoom Konferenz, dass war immerhin ein kleiner Trost. 
Obwohl ich es mir so gemütlich wie nur irgend möglich machte, bekam ich langsam aber sicher das Gefühl, den Verstand zu verlieren. Krampfhaft versuchte ich mich abzulenken, mich irgendwie zu beschäftigen. Mit Pinsel und Tusche malte ich Bilder. Doch kaum war das Werk vollendet, zerriss ich das Blatt, weil ich das formlose Gekrakel nicht ertrug. Ich sah ein, dass mir die Kunst nicht lag. Deshalb probierte ich mich intellektuell-investigativ. Ich begann zu recherchieren und zu hinterfragen. Google wurde mein bester Freund und Albtraum zugleich. Ich sah Videos, Dokumentationen und hörte Beiträge, die mein Weltbild bis auf die Grundfesten erschütterten. Von der Weltverschwörung durch einige international agierende Familien, bis zum leben in einer allumfassenden Computersimulation war alles dabei ...
Mit zittrigen Fingern klappe ich meinen Laptop zu. Eines steht fest, ich weiß, dass ich nichts weiß. Soweit war die Menschheit auch schon vor 2500 Jahren. Es hat sich weniger geändert als gedacht und ich bin heilfroh, wenn das alles vorbei ist. 

Haidy beglückt uns heute mit einer vorzüglichen Mischung aus Klassikern & brandneuen Hits. Einschlägige Melodien treffen auf bezirzende Vocals, Bässe tanzen leichtfüßig mit treibenden Percussions & zischenden Hat’s. Ein rundum schlüssiges Werk, welches sowohl den Zeitgeist trifft, als auch Erinnerungen an gute & alte Zeiten hervorruft. 
Haidy stammt ursprünglich aus dem Raum Hannover und begeistert sich seit Jahren leidenschaftlich für Fotografie und Musik. Beruflich hat es ihn Mitte des Jahres in die Hauptstadt verschlagen. Nun lebt er in Berlin seinen Traum und wir wünschen ihm alles erdenklich gute und senden einen lieben Gruß in die Spreemetropole.
