AYKARAMBA SPECIAL WEEKS

Its almost weekend, and we have yet another podcast incoming. 
This time we are joined from Austria by @djchrisnord for episode 021 of the Kellercast. 🔊🎶🎶🎶🇦🇹🇦🇹🇩🇰🇩🇰



Chris Nord, a dj and producer from Salzburg in Austria, discovered his passion for electronic music in the early 90s. Back then he started fooling around with toy keyboards as a child and later on he became fascinated with playing the drums. This was not the ideal instrument for keeping family harmony intact, but brought the groove and rhythm into his life.

This was the beginning of an evolving and still ongoing passion for electronic music. 

When you find him behind the decks in a club or at a festival, you can expect a groovy mix between minimalistic deep tech and minimal techno with a dark and gloomy touch, spiced up with signature groovy elements. In terms of production and his style hereof, Chris always kept various musical options open. His tracks vary from the deeper floating sounds to more minimalistic and bass heavy (Minimal) Techno tracks. 
But the one thing in common for all tracks, is the energy in them, focusing that on the dance floor. During time, Chris has released and remixed on labels such as; Mothr Music (ARG), Trippy Cat Berlin (soon) UDGK Black, Underground Kollektiv (UK), Gibbon Records (UK) to mention a few. 
His most recent work, a  new EP will hit the stores on june 7th on the label, Amped. 

At the moment Chris is playing regularly at clubs and venues in the area of Salzburg/Austria and he also hosts his monthly radio show; DARK PRESSURE on the UK-based Radio and Label called; UNDERGROUND KOLLEKTIV (@underground_kollektiv), where he’s a resident. Last but not least, he also co-founded the succesfull event-series called; TIEFDRUCK (@tiefdrucksalzburgszg2020) at the end of 2018, a project also know for their own popular podcast, that focusses on darker and minimal aspects of techno.

Perhaps my personal favourite set of all time... I certainly had the most fun playing it—this crazy journey is completely nuts, and hits the highest of highs and deepest of depths; melancholic and euphoric, with psychedelic vibes to send you off into another dimension before lulling you back for a nice soft comedown. 128 > 140 > 120 bpm.

Hier erwartet euch ein spannendes Interview! 
Wir hatten das Vergnügen, mit Denise aka wayofdk aus Deutschland, der Gründerin und Host des Trance Talk Podcasts ins Gespräch zu kommen. Gemeinsam haben wir - Philipp, Gründer des Club Schlaflos und Simon, Marketing-Verantwortlicher, über unsere Mission und Leidenschaft für die Psytrance-Szene gesprochen und dabei den Musik- und Kulturverein Mono.Ton vorgestellt.

Wir haben Denise erklärt, welche Ziele wir mit Mono.Ton verfolgen und wie wir zur Stärkung der Clubkultur beitragen möchten.
Besonders wichtig sind uns die zentralen Werte, auf denen unser Club basiert und wir haben darüber gesprochen, wie wir einen Raum schaffen, in dem sich sowohl KünstlerInnen als auch BesucherInnen wohlfühlen können.

Während des Gesprächs teilten wir auch inspirierende Erlebnisse und Anekdoten über KünstlerInnen, die den Club Schlaflos bereichert haben. Außerdem haben wir gemeinsam die Entwicklung der Psytrance-Szene beleuchtet und diskutiert, welche Veränderungen wir beobachten und welche Rolle die Community dabei spielt.

Für alle, die selbst Teil dieser Bewegung werden wollen oder vielleicht sogar einen eigenen Club gründen möchten, haben wir nützliche Tipps und Einblicke geteilt.
