An air is a song-like instrumental composition. The title, “Scattered Air,” means the fragmented melody. The song that used in the work is a local lullaby from Jangheung county, south Cholla province. Someone’s grandmother or mother would hum this simple tune to sleep their baby. The unpretentious melody is broken, scattered, and returned as a whole, then it falls asleep.
