As Seven Lions, Montalvo is a natural at spanning all genres. However, it is his remix of Above & Beyond and Zoe Johnston’s “You Got To Go” which served as his breakout hit and introduction to the EDM world.

“I won the official remix competition, which is how I got involved with Above & Beyond. I don’t know if they were expecting the track to do as well as it did. But it definitely got their attention, and now they’re wanting to work with me more."

That the remix “did well” is an understatement — typical of the soft-spoken Montalvo. The meteoric track sat at #2 on Beatport's Dubstep chart for over 6 weeks, second only to Skrillex's remix of Levels, with hundreds of thousands of listens across Youtube. Jason Ross & Seven Lions team up on their newest piece “Known You Before” with Emilie Brandt, a melodic bass masterpiece, out now on Ophelia Records. “Known You Before” embodies each of the producer’s euphonious sounds that compliment perfectly with Emilie Brandt’s heartfelt lyrics & vocals.

Jason Ross returns on Ophelia with "Known You Before", the third single off his debut studio album 1000 Faces. This is his fourth collaboration with label head and melodic bass stalwart Seven Lions, and their tracks "Higher Love" and "Ocean" have both been massive hits in the trance and bass worlds respectively. People always asked when we’d make a song together. We always knew it wasn’t something we’d want to force. Recently I was working on a remix for Nick when I realized it was getting so far off track that maybe it would be cool to turn it into an original collab. Boom. Revelation was born. ⁣

If you’ve seen me live in the past year you’ve heard this for sure. I probably announced it as a remix, as something else. Whatever you heard it as, the next few minutes were probably pretty epic.⁣
