This is a track that uses the system sounds of Windows7 along with some other synths that I created. The main drum loop was made from pure static ran through filters.

A first attempt at composing in a 7/4 time signature, featuring some microtonality and complex rhythms. Resembles work from Mike Paradinas also known as µ-Ziq, which is pronounced "Music," or on rare occasions "Micro ziq," hence the possibly cheesy reference title "Xykk Micro."

Xykk Micro

A try at composing a 16-bit/tracker style rock-ish piece in Reaper and its stock sampler, ReaSamplomatic5000. I recorded samples of my drums and guitar and converted them to 4-bit ADPCM 8000HZ mono, which gives them that low-fidelity "crunch." Further realism can be achieved by setting very short loop points in the sampler, sometimes looping just a single wave cycle such as on the lead guitar.
For this project I didn't have the intent of emulating a particular piece of hardware, instead just a generic representation of said style.

This is a remix I did for the track 34 Ghosts written by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. The original track can be found on the Nine Inch Nails Album Ghosts. Every sound was taken from the original multi-tracks and processed to create additional elements.
