The second collection by the Framed Realities label presents a number of surprises, with "Urania" noticeably standing out. A rebellious bass line sketches the sound panorama, while a nimble randomized snare, spotty cowbells and jerky synthesizers direct the listener's attention, giving a sense of involvement. The lining of terminal pads glues all the tracks together for maximum immersion.

Title-cut ‘Red Shift’ leads and sees the pair lay down a near eight minutes of spiralling intertwined dub echoes, murky atmospherics, gritty stabs and low-slung drums.
